There will be eight games on the slate tonight, tipping off with James Harden visiting his former team in Philly at 7 PM EST and concluding with the Bulls facing off against the Nuggets in Denver at 9 PM EST.
The NBA has gotten off to an exciting start, but not many could have predicted the Pistons’ success atop the East with an 11-2 record. To be fair, their schedule has been easy thus far, but it’s encouraging seeing growth from this group of young players as they continue to develop together. At the bottom of the East are the only teams with only one win apiece, the Pacers and Wizards. They sit at 1-12 apiece.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my six favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Tyrese Maxey More than 29.5 Points
Maxey is becoming something of an auto-lock for me due to his massive playing time and FGA this season. He continues to lead the league with 23.3 FGA and plays 40 mpg. His efficiency has waned a bit in his last three games, shooting 13/31, 5/17, and 10/26, but such things are common when players handle such heavy offensive responsibilities.
Tonight he’ll go against the Clippers, who rank 25th in defensive rating. Maxery should be able to dice up this defense with ease.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. More Than 29.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
JJJ has eclipsed this 29.5 PRA in four out of his last five games. He’s been a revelation thus far this season in Tyler Herro’s absence, posting career-highs in PPG, RPG, APG, and FG%. Erik Spoelstra’s sometimes fickle with his rotations, but it’ll be tough to keep Jaquez away from the court with the way he’s currently playing.
New York will be missing both Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby; the latter’s absence will free up Jaquez to continue impacting the game as he’s been doing thus far this season, with 17.5 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and 5.2 APG.

Nikola Jokic More Than 50.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
We may be witnessing one of the highest peaks in NBA history currently, with the Joker leading the league in both APG and RPG en route to presumably his eighth All-Star and All-NBA appearance in a row. He’s also finished top two in MVP voting for each of the past five years, and will likely be in the mix once again this season. He’s averaging 52.6 PRA and should be able to put up his usual numbers tonight against a middling Chicago squad. He’s eclipsed 50.5 PRA in four out of his last five games.
