Week 11 had some wild comebacks and good finishes, even though it was a lower-scoring fantasy football week overall. With 11 games on the main slate, plenty of players stepped up with big games to boost their fantasy managers to victory. Two managers battled it out at the very top of the NFL $2.55M FANTASY FOOTBALL MILLIONAIRE [$1M TO 1ST] with Dpac2 edging out mattmoss12 by a final score of 248.98 fantasy points to 247.68 fantasy points. Those two entries were 10 points clear of the rest of the field of 147,058 entries in the Milly Maker.
Here’s a look at the highest-scoring entry from the Week 11 millionaire contest:
NFC South stars get Dpac2 rolling right away
While the central stacks for the top entry were in the late games, Bijan Robinson (33.3 FPTS) helped get things started right away. Robinson racked up the third-highest fantasy point total of all running backs on Sunday’s slate with 104 rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, four catches and 39 more yards receiving.
He and the Falcons built a 21-7 lead over the Panthers in the second quarter, but the Panthers stormed back in the second half.
Since Carolina had to air it out a little more while attempting to come back, Tetairoa McMillan (36 FPTS) had an opportunity to step up. McMillan has been the Panthers top receiver all season, but he hadn’t had a monster breakthrough game. That game came on Sunday, when he set career highs across the board by hauling in eight catches on his 12 targets for 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
He was the No. 2 wide receiver on the main slate but he was only owned in 2.7% of entries, making him one of the most important leverage plays that helped the top entry stand out.
Steelers Stepping up
The Steelers DST (21 FPTS) was the other low-ownership play that came up big for Dpac2 on Sunday. The Steelers were only in 2.9% of entries, but they had a great game against the Bengals to avenge their loss earlier in the season.
Pittsburgh’s defense had one sack, one interception, one fumble recovery, and only allowed 12 points. The real reason they were a great play, though, was that they had a pair of defensive touchdowns, which they scored on the two takeaways they had on the day.
Cardinals take flight; CMC brings it home
In the early window, Dpac2 got the perfect gamescript for Robinson and McMillan, and in the late window, the entry had a similarly perfect setup with Christian McCaffrey (35.1 FPTS) and the Cardinals passing attack.
The 49ers got off to an incredibly fast start, returning the opening kickoff to the one-yard line. McCaffrey finished off that touchdown just 16 seconds into the game for the first of his three touchdowns on the day.
He ended up with 81 rushing yards, 40 receiving yards, five catches, and the second-best fantasy total of the day for running backs. Since the 49ers were playing from ahead, they leaned heavily on CMC and dominated the Cardinals on their way to a 41-22 divisional win.
While the Cardinals were trying to mount a comeback and since they lost running back Emari Demercado to injury, they set Jacoby Brissett (26.88 FPTS) free to air it out. Brissett finished as the third-highest scoring quarterback on the slate even though his salary was under $5,000, making him an outstanding value play. He finished with 452 passing yards to go with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Brissett didn’t have Marvin Harrison Jr. (appendix), so he worked with Michael Wilson (36.5 FPTS), Greg Dortch (18.6 FPTS), and Trey McBride (30.5 FPTS). Dortch and McBride each caught touchdowns while Wilson had 15 receptions for 185 receiving yards, the highest total by any player in a game this season. The Bottom Line
The trio of Cardinals were key to the success of this entry from Dpac2, who used them along with great leverage plays from McMillan and the Steelers to rack up the highest score in the Milly Maker this week.
