Brock Bowers has had an injury-plagued season, missing three games earlier in the season due to a knee issue. In the six games he has played in this year, Bowers has only gone over this total once. That was two weeks ago when the Raiders lost an OT thriller to the Jaguars. On the season, Bowers has 32 receptions, coming out to an average of around 5.3 per game.
The Cowboys’ defense has struggled mightily this season, ranking 30th in the league against the pass. Even if it’s a good matchup for Bowers, this total feels too high considering he’s only done it once on the season. Dallas may have figured some things out on that side of the ball over the bye week, and they have a couple of new additions after the trade deadline.
Bowers is coming off his worst game of the season, albeit at the hands of the Broncos’ defense. He caught one of three targets for 31 yards and a score. Bowers will likely get his at some points throughout the game, but I can’t trust him to dominate and record seven or more catches.
