UPDATE: Justin Herbert has returned to Sunday’s game against the Jaguars after the second half.
As the second quarter wound down to its final seconds and the Chargers were in two-minute offense, Justin Herbert took a sack in Jaguars’ territory. Herbert left the game, and Trey Lance finished the Chargers’ drive as the teams went to the locker room.
It’s likely we’ll get some update on Herbert’s status during halftime, and we’ll certainly have full clarity on his injury when the Chargers’ offense takes the field for the first time in the second half. If it’s Lance, it might suggest Herbert was evaluated at halftime.
Thankfully for any of Herbert’s prop backers on DraftKings Sportsbook, because he left the game in the first half, DraftKings’ new Early Exit program will be in effect should Herbert not return in the second half. Anyone who made a single bet on Herbert will receive cash credits. As for parlays, the remaining legs of your parlay will remain open, and the odds of your parlay will be recalculated excluding the leg that qualifies for Early Exit.
