This week’s Monday Night Football matchup features a duel between the Dallas Cowboys and Las Vegas Raiders. While both of these teams are below .500, they boast some of the most elite offensive playmakers in the NFL, setting the stage for a high-scoring affair. Let’s break down my top anytime TD scorer Cowboys-Raiders bets for MNF on DraftKings Sportsbook!
Javonte Williams (-175)
The price tag isn’t ideal with Williams, but fewer things feel like a better bet than Dallas’ RB1 finding the end zone in this contest. Williams has scored in all but three games through 10 weeks, totaling eight touchdowns on the season. He’s found paydirt against some of the best run defenses in the NFL, including Green Bay, Denver, and Philadelphia in the season-opener.
Spoiler alert: The Raiders are NOT one of the best run defenses in the NFL.
Vegas is tied for the second-most rushing touchdowns allowed to RBs on the year with nine. Meanwhile, Williams will certainly be eager to bounce back after his fumble played a key role in Dallas’ Week 10 loss to the Cardinals. I expect him to get multiple shots at the end zone in this MNF matchup.
Tyler Lockett (+370)
Tyler Locket, WR1 in Las Vegas?
Just two games into his Raiders tenure, that appears to be the case. Now, we all know Brock Bowers is the top pass-catching option for Geno Smith, although he himself caught just one ball against the Broncos. Meanwhile, it was Lockett who stepped up to fill the void left by Jakobi Meyers, not Tre Tucker as many fans were expecting.
After seeing limited playing time in his Raiders debut, Lockett saw six targets against Denver, catching five of them for 44 yards. The 33-year-old did all of that while playing just 57% of offensive snaps. Tucker, on the other hand, saw an 100% snap share and managed just three targets.
The Cowboys are about as favorable a matchup you could ask for as a receiver. Dallas has allowed the most receiving touchdowns in the league through 10 weeks. Brian Schottenheimer’s squad is also surrendering the fourth-most passing yards per contest. This is one of the least competitive secondaries in the league. As Geno Smith’s top target, Lockett should take advantage of the opportunity.
