An intriguing Middleweight contest on the UFC 322 Prelims is between Roman Kopylov vs. Gregory Rodrigues. Kopylov is coming off a loss against Paulo Costa, but won two previous bouts before that. Rodrigues’s last victory was a first-round knockout over Jack Hermansson at UFC 317 in June. This card is headlined by a Welterweight title fight between Jack Della Maddalena vs. Islam Makhachev.

Here is my prediction for Roman Kopylov vs. Gregory Rodrigues at UFC 322

Method of Victory: KO/TKO/DQ (-145)

In the UFC, Rodrigues is 8-3 while Kopylov is 6-4 in the promotion. Rodrigues has won six of his eight fights in the UFC by knockout. He is 4-1 in his previous five contests with wins over Brad Tavares, Christian Leroy Duncan, and Hermansson. Kopylov hasn’t lost two consecutive bouts since 2021.

This is a very close contest on paper, with both fighters having a 75″ standing reach, with Rodrigues being three inches taller (6’3″ vs. 6’0″). Both fighters do their best work on the feet, with both landing at least 50 percent of their significant strikes.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Rodrigues is a -180 favorite with Kopylov being a +150 underdog in this fight. With Rodrigues and Kopylov combining for 11 knockouts in the UFC, you can get this bout to end via KO/TKO/DQ at -145. Kopylov’s last win by decision came in June 2024, with Rodrigues’s coming in July 2024. Neither of these fighters has ever had two consecutive victories by decision.
