Week 12 of the college football season has a great slate of Saturday games, with a late-night matchup between BYU and TCU capping off the day.

Josh Hoover is capable of playing as well as any quarterback in the country. Hoover ranks sixth in the nation with 23 passing touchdowns and 10th in the nation in passing yards. He was one of the nation’s top quarterbacks last season as well, and he has played in a lot of big games for TCU. This is a massive game for TCU against one of the nation’s top teams. BYU is the No. 12 team in the country and is looking to get into the Big 12 title game. Meanwhile, TCU doesn’t have much to play for for the rest of the season. The Horned Frogs are already bowl-eligible but out of the Big 12 title picture. So, pulling off an upset like this would be the signature game of their season. Hoover has thrown two or more touchdowns in six of nine games this season and should keep that going this week.
Bear Bachmeier 50+ Rushing Yards (-136)
Bear Bachmeier has had a great season for BYU. The freshman entered the season not expecting to be the starter, but was thrust into the spotlight when Jake Retzlaff transferred late in the cycle. Bachmeier has been a dual-threat weapon for the Cougars, propelling them to College Football Playoff contention. He should rely on his legs against TCU. Bachmeier struggled to run last week against Texas Tech, one of the nation’s best defensive fronts. However, in the five games prior to that, Bachmeier averaged over 68 rushing yards per game. He should have much more success running the ball against TCU, getting over this number.
