Week 12 of the college football season continues with a great Saturday slate.

USC vs. Iowa: Makai Lemon Anytime TD (+100)
Makai Lemon is one of the best wide receivers in the country. The USC offense is explosive, and Lemon is its top weapon, ranking third in the nation with 937 receiving yards. This USC offense is one of the best in the nation, ranking fourth in EPA/play. However, the offense has been significantly better at home. In Los Angeles, the Trojans are averaging 569 yards of offense and 49.2 points per game. On the road, they’re averaging 420 yards of offense and 27.5 points per game.
This is a tough matchup against a good Iowa defense. However, the Hawkeyes are also much better at home. After an emotional loss against Oregon last week, one that knocked Iowa out of the CFP race, this could be a flat spot for Iowa. The Trojans’ passing attack is tough for anybody to stop, and it’s difficult to imagine the Hawkeyes are fully locked in for this game. Meanwhile, the Trojans have one day of extra rest after playing on Friday night last week. In that game, against Northwestern, Makai Lemon went for 161 yards and a touchdown. Jayden Maiava should force-feed Lemon in this game, getting him another touchdown to add to his season total.
Georgia Tech vs. Boston College: Haynes King 2+ TDs (-110)
Georgia Tech is still fighting for a College Football Playoff position, and it should be giving a maximum effort every week. The easiest path to the CFP for Georgia Tech is winning the ACC title. However, with only one loss on the season, Georgia Tech could also get an at-large bid if it wins out in the regular season but loses the ACC title game. To give themselves the best chance at getting a bid, the Yellow Jackets need to go for style points in games like this. That is where star quarterback Haynes King comes into the picture.
Haynes King has been a touchdown machine this season. King is an experienced dual-threat quarterback who has played in many big games for the Yellow Jackets. However, this season, King’s legs have looked more unstoppable than ever. Outside the three service academies, which run a triple option offense, King leads all quarterbacks in rushing yards this season. However, the even more impressive stat is that King ranks second in the country in rushing touchdowns. Not among quarterbacks, but among all players. With 14 rushing touchdowns on the season, only Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy has more scores on the ground.
Haynes King has at least two rushing touchdowns in four of his past five games. Boston College has been dreadful defensively this season, ranking 124th in defensive EPA/rush. King should gash them and get at least two scores on the ground for the third straight week.
Cincinnati vs. Arizona: Brendan Sorsby 40+ Rushing Yards (-114)
Brendan Sorsby is another great running quarterback. Sorsby has Cincinnati in contention for a Big 12 title because of his great play as a dual-threat quarterback. He has a 21-2 TD-INT ratio on the season, with eight rushing touchdowns moreover. Sorsby ranks 23rd among quarterbacks in rushing yards this season. This is a huge game against Arizona as Cincinnati looks to keep its conference title hopes alive. Sorsby should lean heavily on his legs in this one to ensure his team gets the win. There has only been one game all season where Sorsby ran the ball at least seven times and didn’t get to 40 rushing yards, when he had 36 against UCF. When Sorsby wants to use his legs, the yards are there.
Arizona has an elite pass defense, ranking eighth in defensive passing success rate. However, the Wildcats rank 84th in defensive rushing success rate. In big third downs and in the red zone, Sorsby will trust his legs more than his ability to beat Arizona through the air. He should take off running early and often in this game, picking up decent chunks regularly. That should lead to Sorsby comfortably clearing the 40 rushing yard mark against the Wildcats.
