The wait is almost over for UFC 322, which takes place on November 15 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Welterweight Champion Jack Della Maddalena puts his title on the line against former Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev. The second of two title fights features a Women’s Flyweight title bout between current title holder Valentina Shevchenko and former Strawweight Champion Zhang Weili. Besides the final two fights, this card features three more intriguing ranked matchups.
Two former champions, Makhachev and Weili, look to join an elite all-time group at UFC 322. Only 10 fighters in UFC history have won a title in two divisions. Although this fight card doesn’t feature any brash trash talkers, it is still a spectacular card and one of the best of 2025. All four competitors in the main and co-main event have been UFC Champions. It isn’t often that you see that on a UFC card.
Shevchenko and Weili face off in a battle between the two best women’s pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Weili has won five straight title fights, while Shevchenko has successfully defended her title twice in a row. Shevchenko is a -135 favorite with Weili being a +114 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Makhachev is the challenger, but he hasn’t suffered a loss in the last decade, as he is currently on a 15-fight winning streak. If he wins, Makhachev would tie Anderson Silva (16) for the longest winning streak in UFC history. He successfully defended his lightweight title four times before vacating his title to move up to the Welterweight division. The defending champion is a +230 underdog while the challenger is a -285 favorite. JDM enters this fight on an 18-fight win streak and hasn’t suffered a defeat since 2016, his second pro MMA contest. Della Maddalena beat Belal Muhammad at UFC 315 to win his first UFC title.
The next two fights on the card are also in the Welterweight division and are spectacular matchups. No. 2 Sean Brady is facing No. 8 Michael Morales, while No. 4 Leon Edwards takes on No. 9 Carlos Prates. Brady is coming off a fourth-round submission against Edwards, with Morales knocking out Gilbert Burns and Neil Magny in the first round. Brady is a -135 favorite with Morales being +114. Prates is one of the most exciting knockout artists in the UFC and has his most challenging opponent in former champion Edwards. Edwards is a +140 underdog with Prates being the favorite at -166.
The opening bout of the Main Card is a top-15 matchup in the lightweight division between No. 9 Beneil Dariush and No. 13 Benoit Saint Denis. BSD is on a two-fight winning streak as he has produced back-to-back second-round submissions against Kyle Prepolec and Mauricio Ruffy. Dariush is coming off a win against Renato Moicano at UFC 317 in June. BSD is -180 in this contest, with Dariush being a +150 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook.
