These pools are effortless to use and allow you to have action for the entire NFL season with just one entry fee. For the season-long pools, each week you will go back to the pool and pick five games on the slate against the spread. Each correct selection is worth one point. You will also be given one “skip week” during the season, where you don’t need to make picks if you don’t have a good feel for that slate. That way, even if you have one bad week, you are still in contention in the contest. You can also play the weekly pools, where you pick every featured game against the spread.
Every week of the regular season, I will be giving out my five favorite selections, along with my leans for every other game on the slate.
Week 11 Picks
Chargers -2.5 @ Jaguars — The Chargers are a game behind the Broncos in the AFC West race. However, Denver has to play the surging Chiefs this week. With their two divisional rivals facing each other, this is a prime spot for the Chargers to get a win and bolster their own division title hopes. The Chargers have won four of their past five games and are solid on both sides of the ball. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have lost three of their past four and are letting their AFC playoff hopes slip away. Jacksonville’s defense has been awful in its last three games, giving up 35 points to the Rams, 29 points to the Raiders and 33 points to the Davis Mills-led Texans. The Jaguars are now without Travis Hunter for the rest of the season and things could go from bad to worse. It’s a tough cross-country trip, but the Chargers should win this one by at least a field goal.
Vikings -2.5 vs. Bears — The Vikings and Bears face off in a huge NFC North showdown. The Bears are tied with the Lions atop the division, while the Vikings are fighting for their season. After losing three of their last four games, the Vikings’ season is slipping away. However, those losses came against the Eagles, Chargers and Ravens, three excellent teams. The win mixed in there was against the Lions, another great team. This will be Minnesota’s easiest matchup since its win over the Browns on October 5th. While the Bears deserve credit for their winning ways, they have had close shaves against some bad teams like the Giants, Raiders, Commanders, Bengals and Saints.
According to FPI, the Vikings have played the sixth-hardest schedule this season, while the Bears have played the 25th-hardest schedule. The Vikings won the first matchup between these teams earlier this season in J.J. McCarthy’s first career start. The Bears led through three quarters before Minnesota came storming back. That is evidence of Minnesota’s exceptional coaching staff, led by Kevin O’Connell and Brian Flores. In the second matchup of the season between two teams, the better staff often has the leg up. In this case, the Vikings should have a great game plan on both sides of the ball and get the win at home.
Falcons -3.5 vs. Panthers — The Falcons are in desperate need of a win in this spot. At 3-6, their season is truly on the line this week. Atlanta has had back-to-back brutal losses, losing to the Colts in overtime last week and the Patriots by a missed extra point the week before. This offense is capable of magic with Michael Penix Jr. getting the ball to Bijan Robinson and Drake London. Atlanta has a good pass rush that should also get after Bryce Young and force him into mistakes.
The Panthers dominated the first matchup between these two teams in Carolina. These are two teams that have significant home/road splits. In his career, Bryce Young is 8-11 at home but 3-17 on the road. Carolina is averaging just 14.8 PPG on the road this season. Meanwhile, the Falcons are averaging a full touchdown scored per game more at home this year compared to the road. Michael Penix Jr. has not played a home game since October 13th and will be happy to be back in Atlanta. The Falcons’ offense should have a big day and get this win.
Rams -2.5 vs. Seahawks — These two NFC West teams have both been sensational this season and share a lead atop the division. This is obviously a pivotal game, and the Rams getting it at home is a big advantage. Not that the Rams have a great home-field advantage, but the Seahawks have one of the best in the NFL. So, taking the Seahawks away from that fortress in Seattle makes them much more beatable. The Rams had a dominant win over the 49ers last week, and would love to keep the momentum rolling against another NFC West opponent.
Sam Darnold has been exceptional this season, but he has now thrown an interception in three straight games, a concerning trend. This will be a tough defense to beat on the road, as the Rams rank second in the NFL in defensive EPA/play. Darnold had his lowest completion percentage and yards per attempt this season against the Texans, the only team with a better EPA/play than the Rams. If Darnold will be slowed down, it will likely be on the road against a defense this good. Even if this does turn into a shootout, the Rams’ offense looks unstoppable. They rank 3rd in the NFL in offensive EPA/play and should find a way to win at home.
Chiefs -3.5 @ Broncos — This is the perfect spot for the Chiefs to get back into the AFC West race. They are chasing the Broncos and Chargers, but still have both head-to-head matchups with the Broncos left to play. The Chiefs always feel good about winning at home, so if they can take this one in Denver as well, they will feel great about their chance of surging back to win this division. The Chiefs’ offense has been fantastic this season, ranking second in the NFL in EPA/play. Patrick Mahomes is having an MVP-level season and should outduel Bo Nix. Mahomes has an .857 winning percentage against the AFC West in his career, the best of any quarterback in divisional matchups (min. 30 starts) in NFL history.
The Broncos have skated by in tight games this season. They beat the Raiders by three last week, the Davis Mills-led Texans by three the week prior, the Giants by one point and the Jets by two points. Those are four bad teams that they are lucky to have beaten in such close games. The Chiefs should take it to Denver and make Bo Nix beat them with his arm. That is a recipe for disaster for the Broncos, and the Chiefs should win this one by at least a touchdown.
