Best NHL player prop bets for Thursday 11/13/25

The NHL returns with a hefty 10-game slate on Thursday night, with first puck drop set for 7:00 p.m. ET. Both the Sabres and Oilers played last night, and are the only teams operating on zero days’ rest.

Here are my top three NHL player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Thursday, November 13.

Best NHL props for Thursday 11/13/25

Cutter Gauthier 4+ Shots on Goal (+105)

While the matchup isn’t the friendliest, this still feels like a steal at plus money. Gauthier leads the entire NHL in shots per 60 and shot attempts per 60, and enters Thursday having cleared this line in 11 of 16 games this season. Detroit has allowed the 10th-fewest shots per game and the third-fewest when playing at home, which isn’t ideal. However, the Red Wings have particularly struggled against opposing wingers, allowing the seventh-most shots per game to the position. Gauthier has totaled 5+ SOG in nine games thus far, so he is clearly making it a priority to shoot as often as possible.

Nathan MacKinnon 2+ Points (-130)

It’s hard to pass this up, given MacKinnon’s recent play. I think this play is good enough; however, you could consider laddering it up to 3+ points (+230) or switching entirely to 2+ assists (+195) for much juicier odds. The 30-year-old is simply playing out of his mind. He leads the league in points (32) and has totaled a whopping 12 points in his past three games. Tonight, he draws a matchup against an injured Sabres team on the second leg of a back-to-back. MacKinnon loves playing the Sabres, too, having cleared 2+ points in five of the past six meetings. It’s hard enough for elite teams to slow MacKinnon down, and I doubt that a tired and inconsistent Sabres team won’t be able to, either.

Macklin Celebrini 1+ Assist (-110)

Celebrini is tied for the third-most assists in the NHL, and draws a matchup on Thursday night against a Flames squad that has lost three straight games. The Sharks have won four straight games, and the 19-year-old has led the way with eight points in that span. Five of those points were assists, and Celebrini ranks 12th in the NHL in assists per 60. Calgary will likely start Dustin Wolf between the pipes, who is 4-10-1 with a 3.24 GAA and .893SV%. I’d expect the kid to take advantage of the poor goaltending and tally his 17th assist of the new season. He has totaled at least one assist in 10-of-17 games and in 6-of-7 away games.
