UPDATE: Sabonis will be re-evaluated in three to four weeks after being diagnosed with a partially torn meniscus in his left knee.

Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis is questionable to play Wednesday vs. the Atlanta Hawks due to a rib injury.

The big man has been dealing with the issue for the last couple of games, but suited up last night for the first leg of a back-to-back. He played 26 minutes against the Nuggets and scored 19 points with eight rebounds and four assists. It’s possible the limited workload was a result of tonight’s impending game, but it’s still unclear whether he’ll play.

If Sabonis doesn’t suit up on Wednesday night, Drew Eubanks likely gets the start at center. He’s produced 6.3 points and 2.6 rebounds per game thus far in 15.8 MPG, but averaged 10.7 points, 3.7 boards and 2.7 blocks in three starts.

Through his first eight contests of 2025-26, Sabonis averages 15.8 points, 13.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists a night. His scoring production has taken a hit compared to in years past, but the Latvian remains one of the premier glass cleaners around the NBA and still leads the league in rebounds per game this season.

The Kings are just 3-8 on the campaign and won’t have Zach LaVine (thigh), who has been ruled out on Wednesday night. Sacramento is a +4.5 underdog against the Hawks tonight on DraftKings Sportsbook.
