Best NHL player prop bets for Wednesday 11/12/25

Following a nine-game slate on Tuesday, the NHL returns with just a four-game slate for Wednesday night, with first puck drop set for 7:00 p.m. ET. Here are my top three NHL player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday, November 12.

Best NHL props for Wednesday 11/12/25

Connor McDavid 2+ Points (+115)

Despite the Oilers’ early-season struggles, McDavid is still producing at a high level. He enters Wednesday’s tilt with 10 points in his past five games and faces a Flyers team that he has found success against in the past. McDavid has totaled 12 points in his previous six meetings against Philadelphia. The Flyers have been one of the best defensive teams in the NHL this season, allowing the fifth-fewest goals per 60. Additionally, much of Edmonton’s success has stemmed from its power play. Luckily, the Flyers have drawn the fourth-most penalties in the NHL, so McDavid and Co. should see plenty of opportunities.

Tage Thompson 4+ Shots on Goal (-105)

The Sabres are a mess offensively, due to injuries and poor roster construction, but one thing has remained constant: Thompson getting pucks on net. The 28-year-old has cleared this line in 10-of-15 games and in 4-of-5 road games this season. While Tage hasn’t found much success against Utah in the past and only recorded one shot in a Nov. 4 meeting, he is Buffalo’s primary hope of any offensive production. The Sabres are dealing with numerous injuries to their forward group, and I’d expect Thompson to be relied on even more on Wednesday. Utah isn’t a friendly matchup, but Thompson ranks third in the NHL in shots per 60 and first in shot attempts per 60.

Connor Bedard 1+ Assist (-115)

Bedard is tied for the third-most assists in the NHL and enters Wednesday’s matchup on a seven-game point streak. The 20-year-old draws a matchup against the Devils, who have lost four of their last seven games and have been to overtime or a shootout in three straight games. These two teams have yet to face this season, but their most recent matchup featured eight goals, and given the firepower on both sides, tonight should be another high-scoring affair. If that is the case, Bedard will almost certainly be involved. He leads the league in primary assists and ranks 13th in assists per 60.
