24 teams across the NBA are taking the floor tonight as part of a 12-game slate. Early in the evening, Eastern Conference contenders are set to clash when the Knicks host the Magic. Elsewhere, the Warriors travel to Texas for a date with Victor Wembanyama’s Spurs. Later tonight, Luka Doncic and the Lakers take on the defending champion Thunder.
Clearly, this is a jam-packed group of matchups for fans to dig into. Who is in line for a standout performance? Here are my three favorite NBA player prop picks on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday’s contests.

Karl-Anthony Towns 22+ points (-108)
The Knicks are on a roll, winning five straight games en route to a 7-3 record. That’s despite good, not great, play from Karl-Anthony Towns. The center is averaging 20.7 points, 12.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists through ten games. However, he’s notched middling 43/33/91 shooting splits. That’s a far cry from what fans have come to expect from the five-time All-Star. It’s likely only a matter of time until KAT takes things up a notch.
On paper, tonight’s matchup appears difficult. The Magic have made a habit of slowing down basketball’s best offenses in recent years. New York has scored under 110 points in seven of the last eight meetings between these two teams. However, things have been a bit different this season, especially down low. Orlando has surrendered the NBA’s eighth-most points in the paint per game (52.9). Towns has reached 22 points in four of his previous six outings vs. the Magic. A similar stat line could be in store on Thursday.
Jaren Jackson Jr. 6+ rebounds (+111)
Fresh off of another disappointing loss, the Grizzlies will finish up their back-to-back with a game against the Celtics. If Memphis is going to pull off a road win, it’ll need to exploit Boston’s greatest weakness. That’s a lack of difference makers in the front court. Outside of Neemias Queta, the C’s are lacking in size and skill down low. If anyone is poised to take advantage, its Jaren Jackson Jr. This season, the two-time All-Star has posted 17.2 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 51% from the field.
JJJ, despite his 6’10” height, has never been a monster on the glass. Still, it’s not as if the 26-year-old isn’t capable of the occasional double-double. The big man has snagged six or more boards in seven of his 12 appearances this season. Boston has given up the eighth-most rebounds per game to opposing teams (58.1). Jackson Jr. has secured at least six boards in each of his previous five matchups with the Celtics. Keeping that in mind, Memphis’ underrated star should find success in this one.
De’Aaron Fox 30+ points + rebounds + assists (-118)
An already competitive Spurs squad got a boost last week with the season debut of De’Aaron Fox. When healthy, the guard offers terrific play making and experience for a relatively untested San Antonio roster. Over his first two games back, the 27-year-old has scored a combined total of 45 points. He’s also chipped in with eight assists and seven rebounds. With defenses keyed in on stopping Victor Wembanyama, Fox will continue to have plenty of room to operate on offense.
Granted, producing against a stout Warriors defense won’t be so easy. Regardless, Fox has a long history of success in this spot, going back to his tenure with the Kings. In six of his last seven meetings with the Warriors, the All-Star has tallied 30+ points + rebounds + assists. San Antonio will also be without rookie guard Dylan Harper (calf). That makes this Spurs back court even more dependent on Fox. Expect the veteran to deliver another solid all-around performance tonight.
