I don’t love writing up a player with -155 odds to find the end zone and rolling with the chalk. That said, his price tag actually seems to have strong value when you dive into the stats. After struggling out of the gates with efficiency, Jacobs has bounced back, now averaging a respectable 3.8 yards per carry on the year.
If there’s a weakness in this Eagles defense, it’s on the ground. The Eagles have allowed a whopping one receiving touchdown to tight ends through nine weeks and only four to wide receivers. However, they’ve been vulnerable against running backs, surrendering a combined 10 scores this season to that position. All of those factors set the stage for Jacobs to find the end zone once again Monday night. If the Packers are going to pick up the win, it will start with their star back.
Dallas Goedert (+215)
Speaking of players who find the end zone, that’s exactly what Goedert has done as of late. After scoring a measly two times in the entirety of the 2024 campaing, the veteran has hit paydirt a whopping seven times across Philly’s last six outings. Over that stretch, Goedert only failed to score against the Vikings.
While the Packers’ run defense has ranked among the league’s best, the same cannot be said for their secondary, especially against tight ends. Green Bay has surrendered five touchdowns to the position on the year, tied for third-most in the NFL. That’s great news for Goedert, who has fantastic value at +215 to find the end zone for an eighth time since Week 3. The Eagles’ offense boasts multiple playmakers with higher profiles than the 30-year-old, but no one has been steadier this season.
