The 76ers snapped a two-game losing streak Saturday with a win over the Raptors. Joel Embiid scored a season-high 29 points in the victory, but the former MVP will be rested Sunday vs. the Pistons with it being Philadelphia’s second game in two nights.
Adem Bona ($4,300) should start in place of Embiid, but Bona and Andre Drummond ($4,900) should split most of the center minutes for the 76ers on Sunday. With Embiid inactive this past Wednesday vs. the Cavaliers, Drummond posted a 13-point and 13-rebound double-double off the bench, resulting in 38.25 FPTS.
Drummond is an interesting value play for Sunday night’s four-game NBA DFS slate on DraftKings and so is Trendon Watford ($4,100). The veteran moved into the 76ers’ starting lineup Saturday and tallied the first triple-double of his career for a whopping 62.75 FPTS. With Embiid off the court this season, Watford’s production upgrades to 1.3 FPTS per minute.
Lastly, Tyrese Maxey ($10,200) sees a boost with Embiid out and Maxey has appeal as a lucrative option. With Embiid off the court this season, Maxey’s usage increases 1.5 percentage points to 31.1% and he generates 1.4 FPTS per minute.
After opening as a 2.5-point underdog vs. the Pistons, the 76ers have moved to a 4.5-point underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook following the Embiid news.
