Luka Doncic, Los Angeles Lakers at Charlotte Hornets ($12,000): Doncic “disappointed” last game as he finished with “only” 47.8 FPTS. The main reason is that he played 27 minutes as the Lakers got blown out. Prior to that, he went over 65 FPTS in four games with three of those over 70 and a high of 81.2 FPTS. Another blowout is unlikely as Charlotte is one of the worst teams in the league and is 24th in defensive rating. The environment should be fantasy-friendly because Charlotte is also fourth in pace.

Max Christie, Dallas Mavericks vs. Milwaukee Bucks ($5,100): I usually eschew players like Christie because the usage rate is low (15% on the season), but he’s been a bastion of consistency. Christie has scored over 20 FPTS in each of the last six games with two over 30 FPTS. He’s scored double-digit points in every game but the opener and has contributed a little something something in every statistical category.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks at Dallas Mavericks ($11,700): I was going to fade Antetokounmpo because Dallas is fourth in defensive rating, but then I looked down at my right hand and proceeded to slap myself across the face with it. Antetokounmpo has been such a beast to start this season. He’s gone for over 60 FPTS five times with two of at least 80 FPTS. Dallas has multiple front court players injured so the rim protection won’t be as robust. In addition, Dallas has also been playing at the eighth-fastest pace.

Derik Queen, New Orleans Pelicans at Phoenix Suns ($4,800): Over the last three games, Queen has put up 39, 27.2 and 33.8 FPTS in 18, 26 and 25 minutes. The rookie has displayed his all-around game; scoring, passing and rebounding. He should continue getting significant playing time due to the injuries and record. New Orleans has won only two games so far this season, and the future outlook looks bleak.

The defensive contributions in both steals and blocks have been robust as well. He’s put up over 50 FPTS four times this season with two in the last two contests. Washington is third in pace and 29th in defensive rating, so the environment is ripe for fantasy goodies.

Ryan Kalkbrenner, Charlotte Hornets vs. Los Angeles Lakers ($5,100): Kalkbrenner has put up over 20 FPTS in all but one game this season with two of those over 30 FPTS. He’s also played at least 30 minutes three times. The chance of a ceiling game is low due to lack of offensive punch or playmaking, but the floor is relatively high due to the rebounds and blocks.
