Top five fantasy football sleeper wide receivers to start in NFL Week 10

Top five fantasy football sleeper wide receivers to start in NFL Week 10

Published:

By: Zach Thompson

We’re back to the regularly scheduled 10 games on the main Sunday afternoon DFS fantasy football slate after an 11-game slate last week. This will be the fifth time in the last six weeks there are 10 games on tap for Sunday afternoon, and Week 10’s slate is full of fantasy football sleeper options to consider. In this weekly post, we look at some of the best fantasy football sleeper plays at wide receiver who are set up to make a huge difference in your DFS fantasy football lineups, but still have a bargain DraftKings salary.

The options highlighted each week as football sleeper plays for DFS can also translate into sneaky plays in your season-long league since they are in line to exceed expectations and many are still on the waiver wire. Earlier this week, I highlighted my top-30 starters at wide receiver. In this list, we’ll focus on players outside those 30 who still bring a high ceiling. Here’s who I am looking at this week and how last week’s picks fared:

Week 10 Fantasy Football Sleeper WR picks (full analysis below)

  • DeMario Douglas, New England Patriots ($4,000)
  • Olamide Zaccheaus, Chicago Bears ($3,600)
  • Jaylin Lane, Washington Commanders ($3,600)
  • Cedric Tillman, Cleveland Browns ($3,500)
  • Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers ($3,300)

Week 9 Results:

  • Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers ($4,400; 7.8 FPTS)
  • Calvin Austin III, Pittsburgh Steelers ($4,000; 10.6 FPTS))
  • Chimere Dike, Tennessee Titans ($3,900; 7.5 FPTS)
  • Parker Washington, Jacksonville Jaguars ($3,700; 17.0 FPTS)
  • Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers ($3,600; 1.9 FPTS)

Whether you’re looking for value plays in your DFS contests like the NFL $2.75M Fantasy Football Millionaire [$1M to 1st] or a last-minute addition from the waiver wire in season-long formats, here are my top-five fantasy football sleeper wide receivers for Week 10 of the 2025 season:

DeMario Douglas, New England Patriots ($4,000)

The Patriots and Buccaneers match up in one of the most compelling games in the early window, and both teams will be without key players at multiple positions. While the Bucs ruled out RB Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder) and WR Chris Godwin Jr. (fibula), the Patriots ruled out RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) and WR Kayshon Boutte (hamstring). Boutte’s absence should open up more targets for Douglas and Mack Hollins ($3,500), who have flashed upside but been inconsistent since Drake Maye ($6,400) has spread his target distribution around.

Douglas posted his first 100-yard game in his career last week against the Falcons, and he added his third touchdown of the season to get to 23 DraftKings points as a great value option.

Douglas has at least three catches in three of the last four weeks for the Patriots and has 40+ yards in three of those four weeks as well.

He should remain very involved as the team’s top option out of the slot against the Bucs, and with just a few more targets without Boutte, he makes a great play at only $4K this Sunday.

Olamide Zaccheaus, Chicago Bears ($3,600)

The Bears and Bengals played one of the wildest games in recent memory last week with back-and-forth touchdowns and lots of drama down the stretch. Ultimately, Zaccheaus’ Bears won, 47-42 on a long touchdown catch from rookie tight end Colston Loveland.

Zaccheaus has been operating as the Bears’ third receiver this season and has been very productive while playing ahead of rookie Luther Burden III ($3,800), who has shown flashes but consistently played less than Zaccheaus.
The seventh-year veteran from UVA has 31 catches for 243 yards and a touchdown and has multiple catches in every game this season. He hadn’t reached double-digit fantasy points until Week 8, though, when he hauled in a season-high seven passes for 33 yards and 10.3 fantasy points in the loss to the Ravens. He was even better with six catches for 58 yards and a touchdown against the Bengals on his way to a season-high 17.8 fantasy points.

Coach Ben Johnson is scheming ways for the speedy receiver to get the ball in his hands, and as long as he continues to get so many chances, he’ll be a good flier play under $4K. He has a favorable matchup this week against the Giants, who have allowed the third-most fantasy points in the NFL to receivers this season.

Jaylin Lane, Washington Commanders ($3,600)

Zaccheaus spent last season with the Commanders, who let him walk as a free agent, but could definitely use him as a depth option now as they deal with multiple receiver injuries. This week, they’ll be without Terry McLaurin (quadriceps), Noah Brown (groin/knee), and Luke McCaffrey (collarbone), leaving Chris Moore ($3,100) and Lane as the secondary options available behind Deebo Samuel Sr. ($5,600).

Lane brings some intriguing upside and has shown the ability to make big plays:

He had three catches for 60 yards against the Cowboys in Week 7 and three catches for 29 yards last week against the Seahawks.

The rookie has also been returning punts and kicks, so he has the potential for big plays if he gets in space, and with more targets available, he has lots of upside against the Lions in the late game.

He’ll be working with Marcus Mariota ($5,300) instead of Jayden Daniels (elbow), but that could lead to a more traditional offense instead of improvisation. Lane has had some big mistakes but also brings big upside and should keep getting work this week as a bargain with upside.

Cedric Tillman, Cleveland Browns ($3,500)

The Browns offense hasn’t been very productive this season, but they’ll get back a key option in their aerial attack this week with Cedric Tillman activated from IR.

Tillman has been out since Week 4, and it’s easy to forget that he started the season with two big games. He had 16.2 DraftKings points in Week 1 and 10.2 DraftKings points in Week 2, finding the end zone in both performances. Granted, that was with Joe Flacco at quarterback instead of Dillon Gabriel ($4,400), but the speedy receiver has the potential to produce big plays if he and Gabriel can connect.

Tillman made a big impact last year when working with Jameis Winston in the vertical passing game and could add a much-needed element to the Browns’ offense if he can have some of that success again this year.

Rookie tight end Harold Fannin Jr. ($4,200; hamstring, questionable) has led the team in catches and receiving yards this season, but if he’s limited or out, that would open up more potential looks for Tillman in his return.

The new QB makes him very high-risk, but he’ll start his return in a very favorable matchup against a trade-depleted Jets defense that could give up huge yards to the Browns this weekend.

Jalen Coker, Carolina Panthers ($3,300)

I wrote up Coker as a fantasy football sleeper in a separate post, but he could finally be ready for a breakthrough this week with Tetairoa McMillan ($5,700; hamstring, questionable) dealing with an injury from Friday’s practice.

After winning the second receiver job, Coker landed on IR to start the season, but he has been ramping back up over the last few weeks. He has only four catches in his three games for 45 yards and no touchdowns, but he still comes well-stocked with big-play potential and upside.

I highlighted Coker as a bargain flier play last week without much success, but this week in a domed stadium in New Orleans where Bryce Young ($5,400) should be able to find him, I think this could finally be Coker’s breakthrough week.

Like last week, he’s high-risk, high-reward, but I like him as a flier play, especially if McMillan is ruled out.

He has been playing fantasy sports since box scores were only available in the newspaper the following day. Even though he grew up almost 8,000 miles away in Guam, he is a diehard Boston sports fan but will take a fantasy value play wherever he can get it, even if it’s from the Yankees.
