The Buffalo Bills face the Dolphins in Miami in an AFC East showdown. Recently, this has been a one-sided matchup with the Bills winning the last seven games between the two teams. The Bills enter this game with a 6-2 record, while the Dolphins have a 2-7 record, the third-worst in the AFC. Buffalo beat Miami 31-21 in their first matchup of the season in Week 3.
The Bills are a -9.5 point favorite against the Dolphins on DraftKings Sportsbook. This game has an over/under of 50.5 points. Here is my Bills vs. Dolphins breakdown and my best bet for the game on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Bills vs. Dolphins prediction, preview
Since losing two consecutive games against the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons, the Bills have won two straight games, with their most recent coming against the Kansas City Chiefs. The reigning NFL MVP, Josh Allen, is coming off a dominant performance against the Chiefs, recording 273 passing yards with three total touchdowns.
The Dolphins have lost four of their last five games, most recently falling to the Baltimore Ravens 28-6. The Dolphins’ defense has struggled, allowing at least 27 points in four of the previous five contests. Pairing that with Tua Tagovailoa, who has been inconsistent this season, hasn’t been a good formula for the Miami Dolphins.
Allen has been excellent against the Dolphins in his career, having 3,950 passing yards with 40 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 15 games. If Buffalo wins this game and the Patriots lose to the Buccaneers, they would move to first place in the AFC East. The Dolphins’ offense averages only 291.4 yards (sixth-worst in the NFL) while scoring 20 points per game (seventh-fewest in the NFL).
Bills vs. Dolphins pick, best bet
Four of the Dolphins’ seven losses this season have been by 10-plus points. Buffalo has won four of their six games by more than 9.5 points. Since the Dolphins have struggled this season, it is best to take the Bills to cover the spread of -9.5 in this matchup, considering their current winning streak.
