UPDATE: Isaiah Stewart will not return.

UPDATE: Isaiah Stewart is questionable to return to Friday’s game with a left ankle sprain.

Detroit Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart headed to the locker room early during Friday’s game vs. the Brooklyn Nets due to an apparent injury.

Stewart landed awkwardly and seemed to possibly roll his ankle earlier in the second quarter. He was “limping slightly” after the fall before heading to the locker room. He does not yet have an injury designation.

The 24-year-old big man played nine minutes on Friday and recorded three points, four rebounds and one assist while on the court.

In the case Stewart misses time, Paul Reed likely assumes the role of backup center.

Through the opening weeks of the 2025-26 campaign, Stewart’s presence has been key for the Pistons. He’s fifth on the team in scoring with 11.5 PPG while pulling down 7.1 rebounds, second-most behind only Jalen Duren. He also leads the team with 2.4 blocks per night as a stalwart of the defense inside the arc.
