Sunderland vs. Arsenal Prediction, Pick
This bet can be found under the “Match Parlays” tab. I hate to sound like a broken record, but once again, I will be picking the Gunners to get the win without conceding. If you’ve been following my Arsenal predictions recently, you’ll know that this is my seventh consecutive time picking them to win to zero.
Arsenal have won each of their last eight games in all competitions without conceding, and have only allowed three goals in 16 total games this season. They will concede a goal one day, but I’m banking on it not being on Saturday.
Sunderland are off to a dream start to the season after being promoted from the Championship. They’ve won five of 10 games, drawing three and only losing two while scoring 12 goals and conceding eight. This will for sure be their toughest test of the season, and while I believe it will be a competitive game, I’m not sure they have quite enough to unlock this Arsenal defense. Their 12 goals scored is certainly a respectable feat, but 10 Premier League teams have scored more. What they have really impressed with is their defensive record, tied for the second-fewest goals allowed in the league with eight. Arsenal have scored in each of their last 13 matches in all competitions, so keeping a clean sheet on Saturday will be a tall task for the Black Cats.
Arsenal will likely make it nine wins on the bounce without conceding a goal in this one.
