Following a light five-game slate on Wednesday, the NHL returns with a nine-game slate for Thursday night, starting at 7:00 p.m. ET. The Blues and Capitals faced each other last night and are the only teams operating on zero days’ rest.
Here are my favorite three NHL player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Thursday, November 6.
Best NHL props for Thursday 11/6/25
Evgeni Malkin 1+ Assist (-110)
The 39-year-old is tied for the second-most assists in the NHL, while ranking fourth in assists per 60. The Capitals are starting Charlie Lindgren tonight after Logan Thompson started last night, which should bode well for the well-rested Penguins offense. Lindgren is 1-2-1 with a 3.46 GAA and .880 SV%, and ranks in the middle of the pack in goals saved above expected. Malkin has recorded at least one apple in 11-of-14 games and 4-of-5 home games this season. Pittsburgh has quite the list of injuries right now, too, and I’d expect the veteran to step up.
Jack Quinn 1+ Point (+115)
Quinn has just seven points across 13 games this season, but he should see increased opportunities on Thursday, with Buffalo dealing with some injuries to its forwards. He will likely play on the “kids line” alongside 22-year-old Isak Rosen and 21-year-old Noah Ostlund, but given how bad St. Louis has been defensively this season, I’m not sure that it matters much which line is out there. Joel Hofer will start for the Blues tonight, and he is 1-3-0 with a 5.02 GAA and .836 SV%. Quinn also plays on the first power play line and has flashed elite playmaking skills in games this season.
Jakub Dobes Over 24.5 Saves (-120)
Dobes is 6-0-0 with a 1.97 GAA and .930 SV%, and he should clear this mark against the Devils on Thursday night. The 24-year-old has cleared 25 saves in all but two starts this season, and New Jersey ranks 11th in shots per game. Tonight will be a battle of the two best Eastern Conference teams, with the Devils a perfect 5-0-0 at home and the Canadiens 5-2-0 on the road. I’m expecting a high-intensity matchup where both teams will be trying to get the puck on net as often as possible. Dobes will stop the majority of them and cash this line for the fifth time in seven starts this season.
