The NHL returns with a five-game slate on Wednesday, set to start at 7:00 p.m. ET. The Mammoth played in Buffalo last night and are the only team operating on zero days’ rest.
Here are my favorite three NHL player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Wednesday, November 5.
Best NHL props for Wednesday 11/5/25
William Nylander 1+ Assist (-110)
Nylander’s assist line has been cashing, so let’s keep it rolling tonight against the Mammoth. The 29-year-old has recorded an assist in eight of 10 games so far this season, including seven of eight games played at Scotiabank Arena. He has also recorded three assists in the past three meetings against Utah, and the club may be fatigued after facing the Sabres last night. It’s hard to ignore Nylander’s impact, and he ranks fifth in the NHL in assists and third in assists per 60.
For what it’s worth, Nylander’s anytime goalscorer prop is a good play, too. He is coming off a two-goal game against the Penguins and has found the back of the net at least once in five of the past six meetings against the Mammoth.
Macklin Celebrini 1+ Assist (+110)
The 2024 first overall pick has gotten off to a hot start in his second season in the NHL, recording seven goals and 11 assists across the first 13 games. Backing his assist line against the Kraken is a good play for Wednesday night, considering he has recorded at least one apple in seven games this season. Celebrini has been particularly lights out while playing on the road, clearing this line in four of five away games this season. At just 19 years old, he is showcasing his playmaking ability on a nightly basis and is tied for the third-most primary assists in the NHL.
Connor Bedard 4+ Shots on Goal (+135)
The Canucks rank ninth in shots allowed per game, and Bedard has cleared this line in three of the past four games. Chicago is not a shot-heavy club, ranking 29th in shots per game, but Vancouver has particularly struggled against opposing centers this season, allowing the eighth-most shots per game to the position. The 20-year-old leads the Blackhawks in shots, shots per 60 and shot attempts per 60. He also ranks second in ice time per game (first among forwards) and will have plenty of opportunities against an up-and-down Canucks squad.
