Jimmy Butler won’t return to Tuesday’s game against the Suns due to lower back soreness.
The All-Star forward remained in the locker room after halftime and was ruled out minutes into the second half.
This was an injury that Butler had sustained prior to tonight as he entered the contest as questionable. He used a heating pad on the bench to nurse the pain during the first half, but he couldn’t play through it anymore.
Butler played 14 minutes, recording two points, four rebounds and two assists while shooting 1-of-5 from the field. Moses Moody started the second half in place of Butler.
On the bright side, Golden State is leading by 20 points midway through the third quarter.
