Giddey Reigns Supreme
There were some well-fought efforts in the late window. Devin Booker and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made challenging pushes, while James Harden appeared to be a serious contender, but nobody could match Josh Giddey’s incredible stat line. With 56 total P/R/A, Josh Giddey is your King of the Court for this Tuesday. Here’s a look at the final leaderboard:

MVP Hours?
I’ve made a huge, tiny mistake. I assumed that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was too far behind to make a comeback.
Not only did SGA storm back to claim this game’s P/R/A lead from James Harden, but he’s keen on challenging Josh Giddey in this fourth quarter. Shai is up to 42 P/R/A at the end of the third, compared to Harden’s 36.
Both have a good shot at claiming the title. We have 12 more minutes to find out who wears the crown.
Closing the Book
It was a valiant effort from Devin Booker tonight. His 38 points, five rebounds and four assists nearly got the Suns a comeback win in Golden State. But, like his team, he fell short of victory. Third-place finishes don’t get you anything in King of the Court. Only the winner brings home the goods.
Our last hope is James Harden. After a monster first half, he’s gearing up for another big second half against the Thunder. Will the Beard steal the crown at the death?
Crunch Time
With under four minutes to go in the Warriors-Suns game, Devin Booker trails Josh Giddey by nine total P/R/A. That’s not much of a gap to be closed, and he’s going to give Chicago’s star a run for his money.
And he’s not the only West guard angling for the crown. James Harden has 22 points, five rebounds and four assists going into halftime against the undefeated Thunder. His 31 P/R/A put him on pace to eclipse both Booker and Giddey when the night is done. It’s going to come down to the wire, folks.
Late Night Devin?
Devin Booker got HOT in the third quarter, single-handedly willing the Phoenix Suns back into the game. Up to 39 P/R/A as we near the end of the third quarter in Golden State, he could make a serious challenge to Giddey at the top.
He’s got a bit over 12 minutes of game time to pile up the numbers. We all know what Booker can do when he gets hot. Stay tuned, and don’t forget about the OKC-LA game. James Harden and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will have something to say before the night is out.
Hot Start For Harden
Perhaps the best hope for a last-minute upset in tonight’s King of the Court slate, James Harden is cooking early. Without Kawhi Leonard, the former MVP would have to shoulder a ton of usage, and he’s done just that.
We’re not even done with the first quarter in LA, and The Bearded One has 22 P/R/A in nine minutes. Can he keep up his torrid pace and usurp the crown? Will SGA start cooking? We have so many questions left to answer.
No Motion in Golden State
We’re at halftime in Golden State, and nobody here is looking to challenge Josh Giddey for the crown. Neither Steph Curry nor Devin Booker, the two main candidates, have done much as the Warriors take a 19-point lead into the half. There’s time for the stars here to get hot, but it seems we have to move to LA for the deciding game.
Who will challenge Giddey? Shai Gilgeous-Alexander? James Harden? A mystery candidate? Let’s find out together.
GIDDEY DELIVERS!!!
What a perfect end to the game for Josh Giddey and the Chicago Bulls. As the Sixers’ offense went dry, Giddey continued to deliver the goods. It all culminated in a do-or-die crunch time possession, where the future All-Star went to work.
That final assist put Josh Giddey at 29 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists. His monster triple-double put him in a convincing lead on our board, seven clear of Tyrese Maxey.
We have two final games to get through. The Suns are currently facing the Warriors before the Thunder travel to LA to take on the Clippers. Gear up for a wild finish.
Crunch Time in Chicago
The Raptors and Bucks game fell short of delivering a King of the Court candidate. But we’ve got a real duel in the Windy City
Josh Giddey and Tyrese Maxey are going down to the wire. Both are poised to clear 50+ P/R/A in a bid to be the KOTC tonight. Currently, the two are tied at 48 P/R/A with three minutes left to play. Don’t get out of your seat.
Giddey Gone Wild
Finally, someone is pulling away. It’s not even the fourth quarter in Chicago and Josh Giddey is closing in on his triple-double with 23 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. His 41 P/R/A mark leads Tyrese Maxey by seven. Giannis Antetokounmpo is now fading into the background as a blowout unfolds in Toronto.
It’s coming down to Giddey and Maxey in the first set of games. Keep a close eye on Chicago as we move toward closing time.
Trio At The Top
With the second half underway in Toronto, Giannis Antetokounmpo is surging to life. The two-time MVP doesn’t care how many defenders you send at him, he will find a way to score.
With 30 P/R/A, Giannis has firmly put himself in the running. But it’s Josh Giddey who stormed forward to claim the lead in Chicago, putting up 31 P/R/A in the first half as he cruises towards another triple-double. Tyrese Maxey isn’t far behind at 28, and RJ Barrett is having himself a great night as well with 28. It’s a heated race in the early window; stay tuned.
Fireworks In Chi-Town
Scottie Barnes goes into the half as our leader with 21 P/R/A. But that sure didn’t last long. He’s been passed by Tyrese Maxey, who isn’t even close to halftime in his own game. The budding superstar has 20 points and four assists already. But he has another challenger in Josh Giddey — no stranger to stuffing the box score, he’s put up 21 P/R/A of his own.
It seems likely that this game will produce one or two serious King of the Court candidates. Make sure to change your channel to Sixers-Bulls if you want to see the show.
Tyrese Maxey Scorching Early
The Tyrese Maxey breakout continues in Philadelphia. His superstar turn has changed the outlook of the Sixers, and he’s fixing to challenge for the King of the Court crown once again. Despite being a full quarter behind the Bucks-Raptors game, Maxey has already put up 17 P/R/A, just one behind the current Raptors leaders.
With Ayo Dosunmu out, nobody is left to challenge Maxey, and he’s getting the shots he wants. Let’s see if he can keep this up.
Raps Out and Running
At the end of a 39-point first quarter in Toronto, we have a few Raptors on top early. RJ Barrett, Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley all have recorded 12+ P/R/A in the early going. Milwaukee’s defense is struggling on the second night of a back-to-back, and it shows. Antetokounmpo, the odds-on favorite to be King of the Court, has been held to nine P/R/A so far.
Can the Raptors keep up the lead as more of our games tip off?
Quick-ley Start
Our first slate of the night includes the projected P/R/A leader, Giannis Antetokounmpo. But it’s the Raptors getting off to a hot start offensively and racking up the points. Immanuel Quickley has been at the center of things, hitting big buckets from all over the floor.
It’s early, but this hot start for Toronto may create some interesting P/R/A totals. Antetokounmpo will have something to say about this soon.
