Following a small four-game slate on Monday night, the NHL returns with a 10-game slate for Tuesday night’s action. The Oilers and Predators each played last night, and are the only two teams operating on zero days’ rest. We are nearly a full month into the new season, which means fatigue will start to play a larger part in identifying viable betting matchups and trends. A 10-game slate means there will be tons of player prop bet options to choose from, so let’s get to it.

Best NHL props for Tuesday 11/4/25
Matthew Schaefer 1+ Point (+105)
It’s been hard to ignore Schaefer’s production at just 18 years old. The 2025 first overall pick has posted at least one point in eight of 12 games this season, and ranks second on the Islanders in points (10). While he was held off the stat sheet in last week’s meeting against the Bruins, he still recorded five shots on goal. Schaefer could look to get more pucks on net again tonight, considering he has found the back of the net three times in the past three games. Among defensemen, the Canadian ranks 10th in points per 60 and third in shots per 60.
Cole Caufield Anytime Goalscorer (+130)
Caufield is one of three players with 10 goals this season, and ranks sixth in goals per 60. The Flyers are admittedly not the greatest matchup as their defense and goaltending have been stellar to open the new season, ranking 28th in both goals against per 60 and high-danger chances against. Dan Vladar has gone 4-3-0 with a 2.11 GAA and .924 SV%, and should draw the start tonight against a high-flying Canadiens’ offense. Something has to give tonight, as the Flyers allow very few goals, while the Canadiens score lots of goals. Caufield has scored at least one goal in six-of-12 games this season, including two two-goal games in the past three road games.
Dylan Larkin 3+ Shots on Goal (-110)
The Golden Knights may not be the friendliest matchup, but Larkin has made it a priority to get as many pucks on net as possible. Larkin has cleared this line in 8-of-13 games this season, including five of seven away matchups. The 29-year-old also cleared 3 SOG in two of three games in 2024 against the Golden Knights. Vegas has started three separate goaltenders this season, but I’d expect either Akira Schmid or Adin Hill to draw the start. They’ve both been relatively mid, ranking 52nd and 45th among goaltenders, respectively, in goals saved above expected. Larkin ranks second on the team in shots per 60 and leads all forwards in ice time per game. The opportunities will be there, even if Vegas allows the eighth-fewest shots per game.
