We’re back to kick off Monday with a nine-game NBA slate starting with the Bucks visiting the Pacers at 7 PM EST and ending with the Clippers hosting the Heat at 10:30 PM EST. The Lakers, Heat, Grizzlies, Jazz, Nets, and Knicks all have a back-to-back set.
Only one team in the NBA remains undefeated; the reigning NBA champs, the Oklahoma City Thunder, sit at 7-0 atop the West. The Thunder have played excellent basketball to kick off this season and look in prime form to repeat their championship run.
Meanwhile two teams have yet to get their first win. The Pelicans and the Nets are both winless. While the Pelicans should be decently competitive, the Nets’ outlook is bleak.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for today’s NBA slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my six favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Luka Doncic More than 33.5 Points
Doncic returned from a three-game absence to power the Lakers to a 130-120 victory over the Miami Heat, posting 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. His shot wasn’t falling from beyond the arc, but I’m not concerned. This was a “bad” game for Doncic, and he’ll be posting huge lines all season as long as he can stay healthy.
Doncic will presumably play in tonight’s second leg of the back-to-back set while visiting the Portland Trail Blazers. Doncic is averaging 41.3 PPG this season and looks cool and collected manning this LA offense as the team waits for LeBron James to join them. Make no mistake, though. This is Doncic’s team, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see Luka continue putting up MVP stats with huge scoring totals. It’ll be a challenge: the Blazers are ranked fifth in the NBA across six games in team defense, but this is still a low sample and Doncic is borderline matchup-proof.

Jamal Murray More than 21.5 Points
Murray is sometimes a slow starter out of the gates, but not this season. Murray is averaging 26 points, 4.6 RPG, and 5.4 APG to kick off this season and looks as sharp as ever as the Joker’s right hand. The Kings are 27th in defensive rating this season across six games and don’t have many capable defenders. He’s averaging 22.8 PPG against the Kings in his last five. We’ve seen Murray attempt as many as 29 shots this season, and as few as 14.
He should have no problem dicing up this porous Kings defense tonight.

Ryan Rollins More Than 1.5 Three-Pointers Made
Ryan Rollins is having a huge season so far, tripling his career-high PPG of 6.2 across six games in Kevin Porter Jr.’s absence. He put up 25 points on 8-for-11 shooting in a win against the Knicks and then dropped 32 in the next game in another win against the Golden State Warriors. While he wasn’t known as a prolific three point shooter, he’s now cashing 40% from distance this season on 5 attempts a game. If Rollins can continue expanding this part of his game as he stands in for Porter Jr., he’ll have a serious argument for staying in the starting lineup.
Rollins is shooting 41.1% from three over his career, but on a low sample. From what we’ve seen so far, this could stick as he continues to grow more comfortable in his new role as a secondary offensive option behind Antetokounmpo.
