Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season continues with a great Monday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals. George Pickens More than 0.5 Rush + Receiving Touchdowns
George Pickens has fit in perfectly with the Cowboys after being the WR1 for the Steelers for several seasons with no real receiving talent around him. Now in Dallas, he is the clear WR2 behind CeeDee Lamb, one of the league’s best receivers. For the first time in his career, Pickens has been able to face single coverage. With his size, speed and hands, he is nearly impossible to stop with single coverage. Pickens has been fantastic, even elevating his game when Lamb missed several weeks of action. Pickens ranks third in the NFL in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Lamb and Pickens are getting a nearly identical target share, but Pickens is getting a much bigger share of the red-zone targets. Pickens is getting 26.2% of the red-zone targets and 22% of the end-zone targets for the Cowboys. The Cardinals rank 28th in the NFL in defensive dropback success rate, so Pickens has a great chance to find the end zone again in this game.
Trey McBride More than 0.5 Rush + Receiving Touchdowns
Trey McBride is having another great season for the Cardinals. After two fantastic seasons in 2023 and 2024, he is having another productive season in 2025. However, this season, McBride is finding the end zone at a higher rate than he ever has before. McBride has four touchdowns this season, already the most touchdowns in a season of his career. Jacoby Brissett will be getting the start for the Cardinals for another week. Brissett and McBride have connected incredibly well in Brissett’s two starts this season. In those two games, McBride combined for 18 catches for 146 yards and three touchdowns. That high production level should continue this week against a bad Cowboys secondary. Dallas ranks dead last in the NFL in defensive EPA/dropback and 30th in defensive dropback success rate. Brissett should move it through the air and hit his favorite target, Trey McBride, for another score.
Dak Prescott Less Than 0.5 Interceptions Thrown
Dak Prescott is having a great season for the Cowboys. He ranks seventh among qualified quarterbacks in adjusted EPA/play. Prescott is coming off his worst game of the season against the Broncos. However, Denver has one of the best secondaries in the NFL, and Prescott was forced to take risks to try to keep his team in that game. This should be a much more manageable game for Prescott and the Cowboys. Arizona ranks 21st in defensive EPA/dropback and 28th in dropback success rate. Prescott had two interceptions against the Broncos, but he had not thrown an interception for four straight games prior to that. He should be in full control of this game and get back to keeping things clean.
