Tonight’s slate will feature only four games: the Magic visiting the Hornets, the Wizards visiting the Thunder, the Warriors visiting the Bucks, and the Heat visiting the Spurs.
Second-year standout Alex Sarr figures to build off his monstrous 31 point, 11 rebound game against the 76ers in tonight’s contest against a tough Thunder home crowd. We’ll also get to see how Erik Spoelstra intends to solve the Wemby problem down in San Antonio.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for today’s NBA slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my six favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Alex Sarr More than 14.5 Points
Sarr torched the 76ers in a close loss on the 28th with a huge double-double, supplying 31 points, 11 rebounds, and four stocks in the defeat. His second-year percentages look much improved so far. It’s still early, but it’s encouraging to see Sarr’s shot diet improve alongside his percentages as he keeps up his defensive impact.
Sarr will be looking to keep rolling tonight while visiting the Thunder. If Chet Holmgren were available tonight, I’d actually bank on Sarr falling short of the 14.5 point mark tonight. However, with Holmgren absent, Sarr will face less pressure at the rim. This is a low sample, obviously, but Sarr’s attempting 31% of his shots at the rim this season. Last season, he was attempting only 17% of his shots at the rim. We’ll have to see if this trend continues, but if Sarr continues this approach on offense, it’s likely we’ll see a more efficient version of him this season.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander More than 33.5 Points
In his last six games against the Wizards, Shai is averaging 33.7 points, which is close to his line tonight. He did not record a negative +/- in any of these games. Gilgeous-Alexander is on pace to repeat his MVP from last season, averaging a blistering 34.8 PPG through the first five games of this season. He’s been hyper-efficient and should have no problem dismantling the Wizards’ defense tonight by himself. The Wizards look competitive enough currently that they shouldn’t get blown out too early, but it’s always a risk when a young team visits the home of the best team in the NBA.
I still like SGA to get More than 33.5 points tonight; he’s in form and the Wizards were a bottom-two defense last season. Defensive standout Bilal Coulibaly does return tonight, but he’ll likely be on a minutes restriction and ill-fit to deal with the problem that is SGA.

Jonathan Kuminga Less Than 16.5 Points
Kuminga has nabbed a starting spot for the Warriors and is having an efficient season thus far. He’s shooting 53.7% from the field and 43.8% from three, but sadly, neither of these percentages are very likely to stick. He’s still young so he has time to develop his range, but it hasn’t happened yet.
Kuminga’s game is built around slashing to the basket and knocking down tough middies. Milwaukee’s roster makes it tough for Kuminga to do that, as both Myles Turner and Giannis Antetokounmpo are immense defensive presences and will make it tough for Kuminga to do damage on the inside tonight.
