Lamar Jackson missed each of Baltimore’s last three games with a hamstring injury, but he is back for Thursday Night Football as he has no injury designation heading into the game vs. Miami.
The Ravens are 7.5-point favorites for this one, with the Dolphins +340 underdogs on the moneyline. The points total is set at O/U 51.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The return of Jackson provides a ton of hope to Ravens fans that this season can be salvaged. Baltimore went 1-2 without their star QB and now sit at 2-5 and is desperately in need of some wins. The good news is their next five games are against the Dolphins (2-6), Vikings (3-4), Browns (2-6), Jets (1-7) and Bengals (3-5). If Baltimore can get on a run, they will likely be in good shape to still make the playoffs.
That all starts on Thursday, as Jackson makes his return in Miami. It’s a favorable matchup to return to, as the Dolphins are tied for the 26th best scoring defense in the NFL at 26.9 points per game allowed. Miami are a decent passing defense at 11th in yards allowed per game, but their run stopping ability has proved to be basically nonexistent at 28th in the league.
I think Lamar goes under his passing total in this one, but Baltimore still wins the game. The easiest path of resistance against the Dolphins is on the ground, and the threat of Jackson and Derrick Henry can gash any defense in the run game. Miami is not good at much defensively, but their passing defense is respectable. Expect John Harbaugh to dial up the ground game in this one. Jackson has only gone over this total in one of his four starts this season, and is averaging 217.2 pass yards per game.
I do see Lamar having a solid day overall, but 235 passing yards may be a step too far.
