The Blue Jays and Dodgers split the opening two games north of the border and head west with the World Series tied, 1-1. Tonight’s matchup is:

Here’s some MLB picks, props and World Series Game 3 predictions to consider for October 27.
MLB Odds & Storylines
The Dodgers are a -207 favorite on the Moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the run total set at 8.5. Bettors seemingly agree, as according to the DraftKings Network Betting Splits page, 63% of the handle and 73% of bets are backing Los Angeles. At the same time, 81% of the handle and 65% of bets are on the over on the run total. Supporting that play, consider that each of the Blue Jays’ last five road games against National League opponents have gone OVER the total runs and the Blue Jays have covered the run line in five of their last six games as road underdogs.
Max Scherzer is making his fifth career World Series start, having posted a 1-0 record with a 3.26 ERA and 19 Ks in 19 1/3 innings pitched. However, Zach Thompson says in his Best Prop Bets article that the L.A. LHBs are great targets for player prop bets, as Scherzer struggled against lefties on the road to the tune of a .380 wOBA against. So it should come as no surprise that ZT is eying Shohei Ohtani 2+ RBI (+288). Ohtani is 2-for-6 with a double against Scherzer in the past and ZT argues that there are many paths to victory for his prop, since he can get multiple RBIs all at once or stack them from different at-bats. Also keep in mind that Ohtani has hit a home run in five of the Dodgers’ last six home games against AL opponents (Ohtani to hit a home run +153).
On the Toronto side, Garion Thorne argues in his Top Home Run Props article that while Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (Guerrero Jr. 1+ home run +343) and George Springer (Springer 1+ home run +459) have better numbers against Tyler Glasnow, the odds for Daulton Varsho 1+ Home Run (+599) feel slightly off. He points out that Varsho posted an ISO of .359 against RHPs during the regular season to go along with 18 home runs against that split.
When it comes down to a best bet for this game, in his game preview Garion is eying Shohei Ohtani or Freddie Freeman 1+ Home Run (-118). He says that Scherzer’s biggest red flag throughout the year has been his inability to keep the ball in the park, which won’t be aided by the hitter-friendly nature of Dodger Stadium. Garion notes that including the postseason, Scherzer has given up 20 home runs in 90 2/3 innings and moreover, has yielded 2.45 home runs per nine to opposing LHBs. Freeman has homered three times against Scherzer and when you add it up with the Ohtani fact above, and you arrive at the idea that one of the Dodgers’ southpaws could take Scherzer deep in Game 3.
If you’re looking for way to back some pitching in this one, ZT highlights Glasnow to record a win (+166) in his Best Prop Bets article. Glasnow enters play tonight with a 0.68 ERA with 18 Ks in 13 1/3 innings pitched, and although Glasnow has yet to pick up a win this posteason, the Dodgers have won both his starts. ZT thinks the L.A. bats will stake Glasnow to an early lead that can be handed off to the Dodger bullpen, which will come in well rested thanks to Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s complete game effort in Game 2.
