DraftKings NBA Pick6 Fantasy Basketball Picks Today: Top Picks for October 27

Published:

By: Bill Yin

Are we ready yet to start overreacting to the early results of the NBA season? In the West, the Victor Wembanyama-led Spurs sit undefeated with three wins alongside the OKC Thunder. The East also contains two undefeated teams in the Bulls and the 76ers. We’ll be following this race closely as it develops.

So far, only the Celtics, Nets, Pacers, Rockets, and Pelicans have yet to win a game.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for the October 21st slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my six favorite plays for tonight’s action.

Victor Wembanyama More than 28.5 Points

The young Frenchman is blossoming in front of our eyes this season putting on show after show. He’s cracked this 28.5-point mark three times already and is averaging 17.6 FGA per game so far this season as the unquestion engine of the San Antonio offense (and defense).

Tonight he’ll face a competitive Toronto Raptors team that’s looked decent so far. Unfortunately, the Raptors (as well as the rest of the NBA) don’t have much to stop Wembanyama. The Raptors have conceded 118 points to the Hawks, 122 points to the Bucks, and 139 points to the Mavericks. If this trend continues and they’re in another shootout tonight, then Wemby should easily be looking at more than 30 points tonight.

Austin Reaves More Than 28.5 Points

I know Reaves just blessed us with a 50-burger last night, but on the second half of a back-to-back, it’s almost dubious whether he can have another big night and go for more than 28.5. Almost.

Back court mate Luka Doncic is out for about a week, and as a result, Reaves is left as the unquestioned first option in LA until Doncic returns. In three games, Reaves is averaging 34 PPG with an incredible 12.3 trips to the line per game. This should be another opportunity for Reaves to step up and keep his team afloat while they wait for LeBron James and Doncic to return.

Paolo Banchero Less Than 24.5 Points

Paolo Banchero has looked a bit off to start the 2025-26 season. He’s only shooting 34% from the floor so far across three games, and averaging a career-low 19.7 PPG. I have no doubt that he’ll bounce back at some point in the season, but I don’t think it’s just yet. They’re still working on integrating Desmond Bane into their lineup. Banchero has gone for Less than his 24.5 line in all three games this season, and tonight he’ll have a tough matchup against a Sixers team that’s shown a ton of tenacity in their wins against the Celtics and Hornets. There will be no Embiid tonight, but I don’t think Banchero will be getting into rhythm just yet.
