Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season continues with a great Monday Night Football game between the Washington Commanders and the Kansas City Chiefs. Hollywood Brown More than 0.5 Rush + Receiving Touchdowns
The Chiefs are looking like a Super Bowl team once again. Kansas City was already starting to play better, then Rashee Rice returned last week. With a full stable of weapons, Patrick Mahomes looked unstoppable. In very Chiefs fashion, Andy Reid and Mahomes made sure to get the ball to Rice as often as possible in his first game back, leading to two touchdowns for Rice. However, Hollywood Brown also added a score in the Chiefs’ domination of the Raiders. That makes it four touchdowns in the past four games for Brown. He is not as explosive as Tyquan Thornton and won’t get the target share of Rashee Rice, but Mahomes has consistently looked for Brown in the red zone over the past month.
With so much defensive attention being placed on Rice and Travis Kelce, Brown is often in single coverage or can be the guy who finds the weak spot in the zone. The Commanders rank 24th in the NFL in defensive EPA/dropback. The Chiefs should move the ball through the air against them and have plenty of scoring chances. Brown should continue his hot streak and get his fifth touchdown in the past five games.
Isiah Pacheco More Than 46.5 Rushing Yards
Isiah Pacheco is finally starting to look like his old self. In 2023, it looked like Pacheco might be one of the next great backs in the league, and he carried that over to the start of the 2024 season. However, after getting hurt early last season, Pacheco did not look like the same player when he came back. Kareem Hunt was taking a majority of the carries for the Chiefs in the postseason because Pacheco had no burst at all. Even to start this season, it was concerning that Pacheco didn’t seem to be at full strength despite having a full offseason to get back to peak shape.
However, over the past two weeks, Pacheco has started to take a bigger share of the carries and is getting closer to his old self. He rushed for 51 yards against the Lions and 57 yards against the Raiders. The Commanders rank 20th in defensive EPA/rush, so Pacheco should be able to pick up chunks on the ground. This game also has blowout potential, which would lead to the Chiefs feeding Pacheco carries late in the game to run the clock out. This sets up for Pacheco to go over this number for the third straight game.
Marcus Mariota More Than 0.5 Rush + Rec TDs
Marcus Mariota is making another start for the Commanders this week. Over the past two seasons, Mariota has played a significant amount of four games. In two of those four games, Mariota rushed for a touchdown. In those four games, Mariota averaged 37.5 yards per carry. That is not even including the 34 yards on two carries that he had in a few relief snaps last week against the Cowboys. There is a 2.7x boost on Mariota to score in this game, a tremendous value to add to your Pick6 plays. If the Chiefs’ defense is going to be beaten, it will be on the ground. Kansas City ranks seventh in defensive EPA/dropback, but 24th in defensive EPA/rush. The Chiefs have struggled with mobile quarterbacks this season, giving up two rushing touchdowns to Trevor Lawrence and one to Jalen Hurts. At this value, it is worth a play on Mariota to score a rushing touchdown on Monday night.
