Texas A&M vs. LSU best prop bets
Marcel Reed 34+ rushing yards (-118)
The biggest reason for Texas A&M’s undefeated record? Marcel Reed’s passing. The sophomore proved last season that he could thrive in the SEC. However, he’s taken his game to another level in 2025. Through seven games, Reed has thrown for 1,770 yards and 15 touchdowns while allowing just four interceptions. The 21-year-old has notched at least 220 passing yards in all but two of his outings so far.
With that being said, Saturday could prove difficult for TAMU’s aerial attack. LSU is allowing 6.0 passing yards per attempt, fourth-best in the conference. Still, Reed is simply too talented not to make an impact in this one. The dual-threat can scramble as well, gaining 241 rushing yards and four touchdowns this season. Last week, Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia torched the Tigers with his legs (86 rushing yards, two TD). A similar playbook could be in store for the Aggies. Expect A&M’s star quarterback to make his presence felt on the ground this weekend.
Garrett Nussmeier 233+ passing yards (-118)
Speaking of star quarterbacks, don’t forget about Garrett Nussmeier. Granted, the senior has taken a step back this season. Through seven games, he’s notched 1,638 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. Those aren’t bad numbers per se, but it’s a far cry from what most LSU fans were expecting this summer. Still, the gunslinger leads the SEC in completions (154) and attempts (232). That means there’s a solid floor for passing production on any given Saturday.
During six of Nussmeier’s seven appearances, he’s picked up at least 220 passing yards. In addition, his three most prolific games of the season all came at home. Playing in the friendly confines of Death Valley, the 23-year-old could dice apart a questionable A&M secondary. The Aggies have allowed a middling 6.4 yards per pass attempt. Three of the team’s previous five opponents have all managed to record at least 230 passing yards. In a must-win matchup for LSU, I’m expecting Nussmeier to deliver one of his best collegiate performances.
