Prediction, pick for Nathaniel Wood vs. Jose Delgado at UFC 321

UFC 321 has arrived and begins with the Prelims, which feature eight fights. Nathaniel Wood is facing Jose Delgado in the lone Featherweight fight on the card. Delgado is on quite a run, as he has won seven straight fights all by finish. Also, Delgado is 2-0 in the UFC with two first-round knockouts. The veteran, Wood, has won five of his previous six contests and most recently beat Morgan Charriere in March.

Here is my best bet for Nathaniel Wood vs. Jose Delgado at UFC 321.

Jose Delgado Moneyline (-148)

With both guys riding winning streaks, it should make for a highly entertaining and competitive bout. But when you dive deeper into the numbers, Delgado has the clear advantage in this bout. Delgado has a five-inch edge in standing reach and height. Even though it is a small sample size, Delgado is landing over seven significant strikes per minute, which is impressive.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Delgado is a -148 favorite as Wood is the underdog at +124. The over/under for this fight is set at 2.5 rounds, with both at -115.

Along with his elite striking, Delgado possesses elite skills on the ground as well. Delgado has four submissions in his career and has averaged 4.58 takedowns per 15 minutes so far in the UFC. Wood has the experience edge, having fought 16 more times in his career, but Delgado makes up for it with his size and balanced attack.
