Milwaukee Bucks forward Kyle Kuzma suffered an ankle injury during Friday’s game against the Toronto Raptors and will not return.

In the fourth quarter of Friday’s contest, Kuzma suffered a very similar injury to teammate Kevin Porter Jr.’s from Wednesday night. He landed on a player’s foot and turned his ankle before limping off the court. Per Bucks PR, it’s a left ankle sprain and he will not check back into tonight’s game.

Kuzma played 18 minutes in Friday’s outing, recording just eight points and three rebounds. He shot 4/5 from the field with a steal and a block.

The severity of the ankle sprain is not yet known, but the Bucks are already injury-riddled to begin their 2025-26 campaign. The aforementioned Porter Jr. suffered an ankle sprain earlier in the week and is currently sidelined, a significant injury for an already thin backcourt. Milwaukee does have more depth in the frontcourt with Taurean Prince and Bobby Portis, but he’ll still be missed as a secondary scoring option off the bench if he winds up sidelined as well.
