Karl-Anthony Towns was originally listed as doubtful, then questionable for the season opener against Cleveland. He still played 31 minutes in the win, dropping 19 points while adding 11 rebounds and two assists. He is once again on the injury report with the same quad injury for Friday’s game. Towns himself called it a Grade 2 quad strain.
Towns is joined on the injury report by OG Anunoby, Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson. Anunoby is probable, Hart is questionable, and Robinson is out. Both Hart and Robinson missed opening night. If Towns can’t go, Guerschon Yabusele would likely slide into the starting lineup to join C Ariel Hukporti in the frontcourt.
Stay tuned to DK Network for updates on his injury and status for Friday’s game.
