After an immense 12-game slate last night, we only have two games on our hands before another 12 game slate tomorrow. The NBA Gods knew that we needed a break from all the action. A couple of takeaways from last night; Victor Wembanyama looks unleashed, the Jazz somehow destroyed the Clippers, and VJ Edgecombe might force Paul George into early retirement.
Tonight we’ll see two big power matchups between the Thunder and Pacers as well as the Nuggets and Warriors. Let’s dive right into Pick6.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for the October 21st slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my six favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Pascal Siakam Less Than 31.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
The Thunder did a tremendous job last season in terms of limiting opponents’ PRA last season, ranking 6th best in the NBA. This 31.5 line feels too high for Siakam this season, even when he’s presumably the first option on the Pacers. We’ve seen Siakam hover around the 31.5 mark for much of his career, and even in his most productive season on the Raptors he averaged 33.7 PRA en route to an NBA second-team appearance.
Tonight he has a tough matchup against a lengthy OKC championship squad with quick hands and stout defense. I’m expecting plenty of shots for Siakam but ultimately he’ll likely come up short here in the Pacers’ first game of the season against a very tough OKC roster.

Nikola Jokic More Than 11.5 Rebounds
In his last ten games against the Warriors, Jokic has averaged a monstrous 31.3 PPG, 12.7 RPG, and 9.4 APG. I’m fully expecting him to grab more than 11.5 boards tonight against a Warriors team that hasn’t addressed its size issue. He’s bigger than every player the Dubs roll out, and Draymond Green, while being an elite defender who plays larger than he is, is only 6’7 and won’t be able to keep Jokic off the glass.

Cam Johnson More Than 2.5 3-Pointers Made
Cam Johnson, coming off a career year on the Brooklyn Nets, was moved to the Nuggets in June this year in exchange for Michael Porter Jr. and a 2032 first round draft pick. Johnson will presumably directly replace Porter’s role on the Nuggets as a floor spacer and I’m expecting big things out of him this season. He’s never played with someone like Jokic who can seemingly manufacture open looks for his teammates at will, and Johnson’s ability to knock down triples will be pivotal to the Nuggets’ success this season.
Johnson averaged 2.8 threes last season, which was a career-high. He shot 39% and attempted 7.2 threes a game. I can see all of these numbers going up this season.
