Someone queue up Roundball Rock because the NBA is finally BACK! The Houston Rockets take on the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder to tip off the 2025-26 campaign on Tuesday night. With a new season comes plenty of players in new jerseys, few of whom are more prolific than Kevin Durant, who makes his Houston debut tonight against the team he began his career with.

Here are the top Kevin Durant prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Rockets vs. Thunder on Tuesday night.

The Rockets made waves this offseason with the acquisition of Kevin Durant. After a first-round playoff loss to the Golden State Warriors, it became evident Houston needed a go-to scorer to depend on n the clutch. Well, the team certainly found one in the four-time scoring champ and 11-time All-NBA honoree, and the price of Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and a first-round pick wasn’t much to give up via trade, either. His introduction drastically changes the outlook for the Rockets this season, especially after signing the superstar to a two-year extension a couple days before Opening Night.

DraftKings Sportsbook lists Durant’s prop lines at 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 three-pointers. His combined PTS + REB + AST line sits at 32.5.

Durant is one of the most prolific scorers in all of NBA history, so it’s only natural to consider a points prop on Tuesday night. The Rockets are running a jumbo lineup due to the possibly season-ending injury to Fred VanVleet, slotting Durant in as shooting guard with the addition of a second center in Steven Adams. The latter is a low-usage player who doesn’t command many shot attempts, so it feels as though the offense will flow even more through Alperen Sengun and Durant in the absence of a floor general like VanVleet. The Thunder defense is quite formidable as well, so Houston should rely on its prized acquisition from the opening tip-off here.

Durant tallied at least 25 points in 37 of his 62 appearances last season and averaged 26.6 PPG. He shot a very efficient 52.7% from the field, 43.0% from three, and 83.9% from the free-throw line during that campaign, and with a silky smooth game that ages gracefully, the future Hall of Famer shows few (if any) signs of slowing down. He’ll draw a tough matchup against Lugentz Dort in this contest against the Thunder, but should see enough shot attempts to cruise to 25+ points in his first regular-season game as a Rocket and cash this prop line. Expect a strong debut from Durant and capitalize on the plus odds for this bet.

Best bet: Kevin Durant 25+ points (+109)
