In

  • Anthony Edwards | Back | Minnesota Timberwolves
    • One of the best players in the NBA, Anthony Edwards, is listed on the injury report with back spasms to start the season. It remains unclear whether he will suit up tonight against Portland. But Edwards has been one of the most durable players in the league over the last three seasons, playing 79 games in each.
  • Jalen Suggs | Knee | Orlando Magic
  • Kel’el Ware | Ankle | Miami Heat
  • OG Anunoby | Ankle | New York Knicks
  • Karl-Anthony Towns | Groin | New York Knicks
    • Karl-Anthony Towns was initially listed on the injury report as questionable with a quad injury, but he was downgraded to doubtful against the Cavaliers. The Knicks enter the regular season banged up, as they are already without Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson for their first game. If KAT is unable to play tonight, Guerschon Yabusele likely will need to play Center at times.
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo | Back | Milwaukee Bucks
    • Before the Bucks’ season opener against the Wizards, two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was added to the injury report as probable with lower back soreness. If Antetokounmpo is forced to sit out, Milwaukee will count on Bobby Portis, Kyle Kuzma, and Taurean Prince for increased production.
  • Jaylen Brown | Hamstring | Boston Celtics
    • Last week in a preseason game, Celtics star Jaylen Brown suffered a hamstring injury. Although Brown is questionable, he practiced on Monday and Tuesday before the Celtics’ home opener against Philadelphia. With Jayson Tatum already being out, Boston is expected to rely on Brown a lot more. He averages seven more PPG without Tatum.
  • Caris LeVert | Knee | Detroit Pistons
  • Ace Bailey | Illness | Utah Jazz
    • Bailey will come off the bench with a minutes restriction due to illness. He likely sees around 15 minutes of action.
  • Will Riley | Ankle | Washington Wizards

Out

  • Darius Garland | Toe | Cleveland Cavaliers
    • Last season, Garland battled a toe injury and underwent surgery on it in June. Although Head Coach Kenny Akinson said Garland is progressing well, he will miss the first few games of the season. With Garland out against the Knicks, Lonzo Ball, Sam Merrill, and Jaylen Tyson should see increased minutes.
    • TOP DFS PLAYS with Garland out: Lonzo Ball ($4,900); Sam Merrill ($4,800); Jaylon Tyson ($3,200)
    • TOP PICK6 PICKS with Garland out: Lonzo Ball More Than 3.5 Assists; Jaylon Tyson More Than 7.5 Points
  • De’Andre Hunter | Knee | Cleveland Cavaliers
  • Max Strus | Foot | Cleveland Cavaliers
  • Josh Hart | Back | New York Knicks
  • Mitchell Robinson | Ankle | New York Knicks
  • Tyler Herro | Ankle | Miami Heat
    • One of the Miami Heat’s top players, Tyler Herro, is unable to start the season on the floor after undergoing surgery to fix the posterior impingement syndrome in his left ankle. Herro had the surgery four weeks ago, but is still expected to be sidelined until mid-November. With Herro out, Davion Mitchell, Norman Powell, and Terry Rozier will all have to be larger contributors to start the season.
    • TOP DFS PLAYS with Herro out: Norman Powell ($7,400); Davion Mitchell ($4,500); Terry Rozier ($4,000)
    • TOP PICK6 PICKS with Herro out: Norman Powell More Than 19.5 Points; Davion Mitchell More Than 8.5 Points
  • Moritz Wagner | Knee | Orlando Magic
  • Paul George | Knee | Philadelphia 76ers

  • Collin Murray-Boyles | Forearm | Toronto Raptors
  • Jaden Ivey | Knee | Detroit Pistons
  • Zach Collins | Scaphoid | Chicago Bulls
  • Coby White | Calf | Chicago Bulls
  • Kevon Looney | Knee | New Orleans Pelicans
  • Brandon Clarke | Knee | Memphis Grizzlies
  • Zach Edey | Ankle | Memphis Grizzlies
  • Ty Jerome | Calf | Memphis Grizzlies
  • Bilal Coulibaly | Hand | Washington Wizards
  • Isaiah Collier | Hamstring | Utah Jazz
  • De’Aaron Fox | Hamstring | San Antonio Spurs
  • Jeremy Sochan | Wrist | San Antonio Spurs
  • Scoot Henderson | Hamstring | Portland Trail Blazers
  • Keegan Murray | Thumb | Sacramento Kings
  • Domantas Sabonis | Hamstring | Sacramento Kings
    • Kings star big man Domantas Sabonis suffered a grade 1 hamstring strain in a preseason game against the Clippers last week. But it doesn’t seem severe, as he will be reevaluated on Saturday. This is a significant loss for the Kings for their first game, as he is their best all-around player. Sacramento’s backup Center, Drew Eubanks, is likely to start with Sabonis sidelined, while Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan must have an even higher offensive output.
    • TOP DFS PLAYS with Sabonis out: Zach LaVine ($8,500); DeMar DeRozan ($7,700); Drew Eubanks ($5,200)
    • TOP PICK6 PICKS with Sabonis out: Dario Saric More Than 5.5 Rebounds; DeMar DeRozan More Than 19.5 Points
  • Jalen Green | Hamstring | Phoenix Suns
