Week 8 RB Rankings: 2025 Fantasy Football Rankings

Updated:

By: Zach Thompson

Running backs are some of the biggest stars in fantasy football, and having reliable RBs gives you a solid core to build your season-long squad around. Week 8 will be a tough test for many teams, though, not just because of the matchups, but also because six teams are on bye weeks, forcing fantasy football managers to dig deep into their bench for starting plays. To help you keep track of all the latest running back rotations and who you should play this week, check out my top 30 RB rankings for Week 8 listed below.

With the results for Monday Night Football’s doubleheader still pending, Christian McCaffrey (42.1 FPTS) had the best total for running backs this week with Jonathan Taylor (34.2 FPTS) and Quinshon Judkins (26.4 FPTS) as the only other running backs with over 25 fantasy points. Four more running backs had at least 20 fantasy points: D’Andre Swift (23.8 FPTS), Jaylen Warren (22.8 FPTS), Javonte Williams (21.8 FPTS), and the always productive Bijan Robinson (21.1 FPTS)

While there are still a few key running back situations playing out on Monday, it’s not too early to start looking ahead to what to do in your Week 8 lineup. You won’t be able to include players from the Cardinals, Lions, Jaguars, Raiders, Rams, and Seahawks, since those teams are all on bye weeks. However, there are still plenty of strong options in play at the position since so many teams use a timeshare or rotation in the backfield DraftKings Network has coverage to help you with all your lineup choices throughout the week, with the latest news and injury updates. Be sure to stay tuned throughout the week, especially with the trade deadline coming up soon.

As part of our coverage, each Monday throughout the season, I’ll deliver my RB rankings. If they get buried on the main page by the rest of our amazing content, they’re always available on my author page.
