UPDATE: Bryce Young has been ruled out for the remainder of the game due to an ankle injury.
Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young suffered an ankle injury during today’s matchup with the New York Jets. He is officially questionable to return.
Young was attempting to spin out of the pocket to escape a sack and went down awkwardly. Jets defensive tackle Jowon Briggs looked to make contact with Young’s ankle area before taking the tumble.
Before leaving the game, Young had completed 15 of his 25 pass attempts for 138 yards and a touchdown. He was replaced by Andy Dalton in the matchup.
New York also had some issues at the quarterback position with Tyrod Taylor entering the game for Justin Fields. Taylor first entered after Fields took a notable hip, and the decision appeared to be performance-based upon the second lineup change.
More updates will be provided regarding Bryce Young as the team provides them.
