NFL Best Bets: Eagles vs. Vikings Best Prop Bets for Week 7

The Eagles are stumbling, losing two straight heading into Week 7. This will be another difficult matchup, however, as the team faces the Vikings in Minnesota.

The Vikings are coming off a bye week and are 3-2 overall this season.

Philadelphia is a 1.5-point favorite and -125 on the moneyline, while Minnesota is +105 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 43.5 points.

Here are my favorite player props for this Week 7 NFL game between the Eagles and Vikings.

Eagles vs. Vikings Best Prop Bets

Jalen Hurts anytime touchdown (-115)

This might be a basic prop bet, but it’s valued at -115. Hurts has five rushing touchdowns in four games this season. He didn’t score against the Buccaneers or Broncos.

The tush push is so effective that it has organizations looking to ban to move. Hurts is the primary beneficiary of this scheme, and it’s something the Eagles are going to do anytime they find themselves within a few yards of the endzone.

Why bother draw up any other play if the tush push has worked so well? Stick to what works, which has been shoving Hurts into the endzone each week.

Justin Jefferson over 78.5 receiving yards (-111)

The Vikings’ quarterback room has been a bit volatile over the past two seasons. Sam Darnold, Carson Wentz and J.J. McCarthy have all spent time under center over the past two seasons. Nonetheless, Justin Jefferson remains incredibly effective.

He’s one of the best wide receivers in football, and the last two games reminded fans of that. He hauled in 10-of-11 targets for 126 yards against the Steelers and 7-of-11 targets. for 123 yards against the Browns. While he didn’t score, the yards were elite.

These numbers make his other weeks look measly, but that’s not the case. Catching five balls for 75 yards is a good game, but it’s below average for a player of Jefferson’s caliber. The expectation is for him to record more than 100 yards and a touchdown almost every week. Of course that’s unlikely, but over 78.5 is very doable.

Although the Eagles allow the 12th fewest passing yards in the league, it’s hard to bet against Jefferson after two great weeks in a row. Even a bye week shouldn’t cool him down.

A.J. Brown under 60.5 receiving yards (-111)

A.J. Brown has the talent of a top-end wide receiver, but the production isn’t following this season. He has 274 yards and one touchdown on 25 receptions. It’s not for a lack of targets either, which makes this prop bet a bit dangerous.

Excluding Week 1 when he caught his only target for eight yards, Brown has received at least eight targets in five weeks. His yards, however, have only topped 45 twice.

He had 109 yards and a touchdown on 6-of-10 targets against the Rams, but he followed that up with seven yards on 2-of-9 targets against the Buccaneers. There isn’t enough consistency in his yards total to bet the over.

His regular targets make him a threat to go over each week, but the Vikings allow the second fewest passing yards this season.
