NFL Best Bets: Commanders vs. Cowboys Best Prop Bets for Week 7

Sunday evening will feature an exciting NFC East matchup between the Commanders and Cowboys in Dallas. Both squads trail the Eagles for the division lead and are looking to bounce back from close losses in Week 6. The Cowboys fell to the Panthers on Oct. 12, while the Commanders lost to the Bears on Monday Night Football.

Dallas is a 1.5-point favorite with -125 moneyline odds, while Washington is listed as a +105 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. The game total is set at 53.5 points — the highest of any game total on the board this week.

Here are my favorite player props for this Week 7 showdown between the Commanders and Cowboys.

Commanders vs. Cowboys Best Prop Bets

Jacory Croskey-Merritt anytime touchdown (+100)

The Commanders’ offense will be missing multiple key playmakers this week, with Terry McLaurin (quad), Noah Brown (groin/knee), and Deebo Samuel (heel) all sidelined. While I do like Chris Moore as a sneaky fantasy football sleeper in the matchup, I think the lack of options at receiver will keep the Commanders focused on their running game, where Croskey-Merritt should be able to reach the end zone.

The rookie running back has taken over as the clear top rusher in the backfield, and he played a career-high 66% of snaps on Monday against the Bears. “Bill” didn’t get into the end zone in that matchup, but he did have 17 carries while no other running back had more than two.

The Cowboys are a great matchup for running backs, and have given up six running back touchdowns in six games this season, including four in the last three weeks. With Croskey-Merritt carrying the load, I like his chances to make it seven halfback scores in seven weeks against the Cowboys’ defense.

Javonte Williams 90+ Rush + Receiving Yards (+107)

The Commanders have also been generous to opposing running backs this season, allowing an average of 88.7 rushing yards and 46.8 receiving yards to the position on the season. On Monday, they gave up 175 rushing and receiving yards to D’Andre Swift. In Week 5, Omarion Hampton would have likely eclipsed the total had he not gotten injured, and in Week 4, Bijan Robinson tore them up for 181 total yards.

Williams has averaged 93.2 rushing and receiving yards per game this season and has surpassed this total in four of his last five games — with last week’s contest against the Panthers marking his first down game since Week 1.

George Pickens Over 61.5 Receiving Yards (-113)

Even though CeeDee Lamb will be returning from an ankle injury, I still think Pickens will be able to go over this total with the Cowboys’ high-volume passing attack.

With Lamb out, Pickens and Dak Prescott clicked and produced 134 yards against the Packers and 168 yards last week against the Panthers. Sandwiched between those big games, Pickens was held to just 57 yards by the Jets’ Sauce Gardner. Still, the Commanders don’t have anyone close to that caliber to throw at Pickens.

Pickens has been over this total in four of his last five games, with his scuffle against the Jets being the only exception. He eclipsed the total in the last two games he started with Lamb, and I’m confident he’ll find the space against the Commanders, who have given up an average of 150+ yards per week to wide receivers this season.
