The UFC is back in Vancouver for a Fight Night event headlined by an elite Middleweight fight between No. 4 Reinier de Ridder and No. 9 Brendan Allen. The most active fighter in the UFC, No. 15 Kevin Holland, is back to take on Mike Malott in the co-main event. The great action doesn’t stop there as former title challenger, No. 7 Marlon “Chito” Vera, is facing No. 9 Aiemann Zahabi in a Bantamweight bout.
Here are my best bets for tonight’s UFC Fight Night
Reinier de Ridder to win by KO/TKO/DQ or Submission (+110)
There have been plenty of fighters to enter the UFC as champions from outside organizations. But not many have made an impact like Reinier de Ridder has in his first 11 months in the UFC. RDR has gone 4-0 with three finishes in the UFC and is 3-0 in 2025. De Ridder has surpassed all previous expectations for himself and has quickly become a legit title contender.
RDR last beat Robert Whittaker, former UFC Champion, in a five-round war. Whittaker is 3-4 in his previous seven bouts, but is still one of the toughest fighters to beat at 185 pounds. Now, RDR will take on Brendan Allen after Anthony Hernandez withdrew due to injury.
Allen is a good fighter, but he isn’t on the level of RDR’s past opponent, Whittaker. On the feet, Allen is the better striker, but RDR should still be able to be effective with his unorthodox striking ability. RDR only absorbs 2.44 significant strikes per minute from opponents.
Even at 35 years old, De Ridder seems to be improving in each fight and doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. In his career, 18 of RDR’s 21 victories have come by finish, and his decision win against Whittaker was his first in four years. On DraftKings Sportsbook, RDR is -198 on the moneyline and also +110 to win by knockout or submission.
Marlon Vera Moneyline (+114)
From 2021 to 2022, Marlon “Chito” had it all. The unique look, exciting style, and he became a fan-favorite. But since that period, he has lost three of his last four fights and is desperate for a victory. Vera’s last fight was against Deiveson Figueiredo in August 2024.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Vera is a +110 underdog while his opponent, Aiemann Zahabi, is a -130 favorite. Zahabi has won six straight fights but is 37 years old. Although he is on a good run, Zahabi is a step down in competition for “Chito” since he last fought two former champions.
After 14 months away from the sport, Vera must return with a newfound aggression to bounce back against Zahabi. Vera lands nearly 50 percent of his significant strikes and is in a good position to have a better outing than we have recently seen from him.
Kevin Holland Moneyline (-110)
Kevin Holland is making his fifth walk to the UFC Octagon in 2025 and is 2-2 this year. Holland has won two of his last three fights, but recently lost to Daniel Rodriguez at UFC 318 in July. Since Holland is such an active fighter, he does an excellent job of putting his previous fight behind him, even when he suffers a loss.
Holland has a one-of-a-kind personality and is genuinely willing to fight anyone in the UFC at any time. He now has a number next to his name, but if Hollands wants to continue to move up the 170-pound rankings, a victory is needed against Mike Malott. Malott has won eight of his previous nine fights and has flown under the radar.
This is also Holland’s sixth fight since October 2024, while Malott has fought twice in that span. Holland has a significant edge in experience in this bout. At Welterweight, Holland is one of the bigger fighters so that he can use his size to his advantage. In this contest, Holland has an eight-inch edge in reach (81″ vs. 73″) while being two inches taller (6’3″ vs. 6’1″). Holland is an excellent striker, and he lands more significant strikes per minute than Maloltt at a higher rate. If Holland keeps Malott at range and doesn’t rush for a finish, he should be able to win this bout. You can get Holland to win this fight at -108.
