First Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets for Rams vs. Jaguars in Week 7 London Game

Published:

By: Zach Thompson

The Los Angeles Rams and Jacksonville Jaguars head to Wembley Stadium for Week 7’s third and final game in London this season. Later in the season, we’ll get two more international games in Europe, but this is the last game in London and the only one at The Venue of Legends. Both teams have started the year 4-2 and have playoff aspirations.

The Jaguars are coming off a brutal loss to the Seahawks last week, while the Rams weathered a slow start to take down the Ravens.

For this article, though, standings and the final result of the game don’t matter. We’re focusing solely on the first touchdown market. If you’re looking to get your Sunday off to a fast start with some early action to build your bankroll, there are a couple of plays I like from this contest. Let’s break down one option from each team in this Sunday morning matchup, with odds powered by DraftKings Sportsbook.

Rams vs. Jaguars First Touchdown Scorer Prop Bets

Kyren Williams First Touchdown Scorer (+475)

The Rams will be without Puka Nacua, which will radically impact the offense in multiple ways — including in their first score of the day. Through the Rams’ first six games, though, Nacua has only scored their first touchdown once. Davante Adams has two first touchdowns, while Williams has the other three, including last week’s first touchdown against the Ravens.

Not only does Williams have 50% of the team’s first touchdowns, but he has 31% of their overall touchdowns with five scores on the season. He hasn’t racked up a ton of yards this year, but he is a reliable goal-line force and a go-to option both on the ground and through the air. Without Nacua, Adams and Jordan Whittington will both get more work, but there remains a strong possibility that Williams scores the first touchdown of the day against the Jaguars.

Hunter Long First Touchdown Scorer (+2000)

Now, here are some Long odds in more ways than one!

The Rams have allowed just two rushing touchdowns all season — to a QB and TE, respectively — and the only running back score they’ve surrendered was a Christian McCaffrey reception. The Jaguars also have tipped slightly toward passing scores (eight) instead of rushing TDs (six) overall this season, and no player on the team has scored more than one first touchdown this year.

Last week against the Seahawks, it was Brian Thomas Jr., who leads the team in targets by a wide margin and is tied with Dyami Brown for the team lead in red zone targets. It makes sense why he’s listed at +900, trailing only Travis Etienne Jr. (+600) as first touchdown scorers for the team.

Trevor Lawrence has thrown eight touchdowns on the year, and Long is the only Jaguar with multiple touchdown catches. Long had the first touchdown of the season for Jacksonville and added a second touchdown against the 49ers. Both scores came while he was playing behind Brenton Strange, but last week, he stepped into the primary tight end role, playing 80% of snaps, drawing three targets, and finishing with two catches for 19 yards. The Rams’ defense has been excellent lately, but it has allowed some room for tight ends to work. Long could take advantage of that to be a home run at 20-to-1 odds in the early game on Sunday.
