Sabonis left Wednesday’s preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers with 5:40 left in the third quarter. He will not return due to a right hamstring injury.
Prior to exiting, Sabonis contributed 15 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and a steal in 23 minutes. He shot 7-of-14 from the field, 0-of-5 from downtown and 1-of-2 from the line.
There’s been no mention of when or how the injury occurred. Drew Eubanks was the substitute.
Sacramento has their final preseason game on Friday before opening the regular season next Wednesday, so it’s highly unlikely that Sabonis suits up for Friday’s contest.
