Whether your pick lost in Week 6 or you just didn’t get the chance to join a survivor pool, you can join this survivor pool. In this survivor pool, you need to pick a team to win straight-up every week. However, once you use a team, you cannot use it again. You are eliminated from the pool if one of your picks loses. The players who survive the regular season without losing will split the grand prize of at least $50,000.
Week 7 Survivor Best Pick
The Chiefs picked up a massive win over the Lions in Week 6. Instead of dropping to 2-4 and facing a major uphill battle for postseason contention, they instead sit at 3-3, only a game behind the Broncos and Chargers atop the AFC West. This week, they host the Raiders, a prime opportunity to pick up another win and get above .500. Patrick Mahomes has owned the Raiders in his career, with a 12-2 record against the black and silver. He has a 33-5 TD-INT ratio in those games, and he should have another great performance this week. Xavier Worthy returned from injury last week, and now Mahomes gets back Rashee Rice from suspension as well. Mahomes will have his full complement of weapons for the first time all season. The Raiders broke their losing streak by taking down the Titans last week, but Las Vegas still ranks 29th in the NFL in offensive EPA/play. They just don’t have enough firepower to go beat the Chiefs on the road.
Week 7 Survivor Bold Pick
Eagles over Vikings
The Eagles have been struggling, losing back-to-back games after starting 4-0. The warning signs were there, as Philadelphia had gotten fortunate in a couple of its wins to start the season. The offense has been stagnant, with Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley both failing to replicate their great 2024 seasons. Philadelphia is just a 2.5-point favorite on the road in Minnesota, but it should bounce back and get a win here. Minnesota just spent two weeks overseas before its Week 6 bye week. It wasn’t a great overseas trip for Minnesota, losing to the Steelers and barely getting a win over the Browns, despite it being Dillon Gabriel’s first career start. There is a chance J.J. McCarthy returns at quarterback for Minnesota, but the Eagles should dominate defensively either way, as McCarthy and Carson Wentz have both struggled. This is a great chance to get things back on track for the Eagles. While there are safer picks to make this week, this could be a good zag to avoid going with the popular picks.
Week 7 Survivor Favorite to Avoid
Rams over Jaguars
Last week, the Bills were my favorite to avoid for their trip to Atlanta. That ended up being the right call, as Buffalo went down against the Falcons. This week, the Rams are the favorite that I would make sure to avoid. Los Angeles is traveling overseas for a battle against the Jaguars. This is a spot with plenty of red flags for a potential upset. The Jaguars play in London every season, and they know exactly how to prepare themselves for this trip. The Rams are coming from three extra time zones farther west than the Jaguars, making the potential jet lag and travel fatigue even more of a factor. The Jaguars are also London’s unofficial team, so while it’s not a “home-field advantage,” they will have the majority of the fans at Wembley Stadium on their side. The Rams will also be missing Puka Nacua for this game, making life even harder against the Jaguars’ defense, which ranks sixth in the NFL in defensive EPA/play. This should be a tough game for Los Angeles, making it a favorite to avoid in survivor pools this week.
