It’s been a season to forget for Chase Brown and the Bengals through six weeks. The expectations for Brown were sky high a year after he rushed for nearly 1,000 yards in 16 games. Joe Burrow’s injury has made life extremely difficult for Brown, as now defenses are making Cincinnati beat them through the air. As a result, Brown’s numbers have been a disaster. His yards per carry have dropped from 4.3 to 2.7 this season, and in the last two weeks, he has not received double-digit carries on either occasion.
Will Brown’s downward spiral continue, or is this the week he gets back to his 2024 form?
The Steelers are 5.5-point favorites for this one, with the Bengals +220 underdogs on the moneyline. The points total is set at O/U 44.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Below is my favorite Brown prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook for Thursday’s game.
Best Chase Brown Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Chase Brown received 21 carries in Week 1, and it was all downhill from there. In the weeks since, he’s carried the ball 16, 10, 10, 8 and 9 times. The carries are going in the wrong direction, and indicate we will see similar volume on Thursday night.
Brown has only gone over this total once this season, and that was when he recorded 47 yards on 16 carries in Week 2. The Steelers are the definition of an average run-stopping team, ranking 16th in the league in yards per game allowed on the ground. Unless Brown somehow sees his usage randomly skyrocket, I’m not sure how he gets over this total. Who knows, maybe he breaks a long one. His longest rush of the season is only 13 yards, so I certainly wouldn’t count on it.
Brown will likely continue to struggle until Burrow returns to the lineup, so I will continue to fade the running back in the meantime.
