Monday afternoon, Dana White announced that the Undisputed Bantamweight Champion, Merab Dvalishvili, is defending his title against Petr Yan in the Main Event of UFC 323 on December 6 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Joshua Van is challenging Alexandre Pantoja for the UFC Flyweight title in the co-main event of this event.
Dvalishvili is attempting to become the first fighter in UFC history to have four successful title defenses in a single calendar year. Dvalishvili won the 135-pound title in September 2024 and is already 3-0 in 2025 with wins over Umar Nurmagomedov, Sean O’Malley, and Cory Sandhagen.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Dvalishvili is a -310 favorite while Yan is a +250 underdog.
If Dvalishvili beats Yan again, he would tie Islam Makhachev and Kamaru Usman with the second-longest winning streak (15) in UFC history. This is a rematch as Dvalishvili beat Yan via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45) in March 2023. Dvalishvili landed 72 more significant strikes than Yan, while totaling 11 takedowns and having 5:53 of control time. Yan is a former UFC Champion in his own right and has gone 3-1 since their previous fight.
